Machine generated TED-Talks

A Recurrent Neural Network trained on all existing TED Talk Transcripts. The model outputs machine generated TED Talks, spoken by a text-to-speech system. The video is an exercise in computational comedy. The computer also decides when the audience laughs.

The computer failed in this case.

Though I've been seeing more satire of TEDTalks in general lately. Usually, the mockery only applies to a small portion of them (though it acts as if it's all of them), or apply to about any public speech (rather than just TEDTalks specifically) which they pretend only applies to TEDTalks. But this computer was way off base (at least as much of it as I could watch, which was over half), unlike the other parodies I've seen which can at least apply in some cases.
