Have any of you guys seen Made in Dagenham?
I just watched it yesterday, and it was so good! I think it's the kind I'll only watch once tough, but it was really...empowering.
It's about women's strike for equal pay and about the pressions they encounter while they are on strike.
It doesn't make the apology of women (as in "we are better than men"). It's not about women good men bad. It's about people fighting for what they believe is right, supporting a cause. Of course there are very few men in the movie who actually support the strike, but there are some anyway. The main character, Rita, is really well-portrayed, honest, has a clever point of view on things, and is a bit sassy but that's what makes things move. I think my favourite moment was when she said to her husband
(Yeah, the movie is not only about women's equal pay, it's also a bit about their struggle to be respected).
Rita's husband has difficulties to cope
If you haven't seen it yet, I do advise it to you! It made me cry at times (nothing to do with the fact I cry easily :tongue3🙂 and sometimes, I was almost hearing Buffy saying "Are you ready to be strong?"
Really, really great movie!
And Miranda Richardson is effing great in it as well!

because he's not used to be the househusband (and also, he loses his job because of the women's strike)
