Major News Involving Tim Minear

Well it's major news if you happen to be a Tim Minear Fanboy like uh...me. Tim Minear has a new project. For those of you who read the title, and thought it might have involved the on again off again Spike project Tim was supposed to be involved in, sorry about that. It's not that one.

It's called Miracle Man, and "centers on a disgraced former televangelist, a man of no faith, who finds that God is using him to perform real miracles and change lives, starting with his own."

"It's about losing everything and starting over and finding that there is a higher purpose in life," Minear said. "It's about a man who says, 'I don't know how to be good, but I'll try to be better.'

It's a 'Miracle' for Minear, Holland, ABC

There's some side information that makes this one interesting. It involves a bidding war for the series between the ABC and Fox. The important thing is ABC WON!!!. Past Minear collaborative series shown by Fox - Wonderfalls, Firefly, The Inside, Drive - did not recieve the network's support and folded early. ABC is the "Lost" network and knows how to put out a Genre show, as they are showing with this season's Pushing Daisies.

Another cool thing about Miracle is Todd Holland is involved who worked with Minear previously on Wonderfalls.

Also this appears to be Tim's own creation, where in the past he was brought in to work on other people's projects.
