Major screw-up

Okay, so it's a common fact that Jonathon Woodward plays a Holden Webster on Buffy in 'Conversations w/ Dead People' and Knox in Angel. But, if Buffy and Angel are in the same 'verse, which they are, how can he be playing two different characters. I think that's a real screw-up casting wise.

definately not a screw up, i guess they liked the actor and gave him another role.

Agreed. It's not the same character - just the same actor. No problem there.

You forgot that he was also on "Firefly." Actually, they were triplets, orphaned at birth and adopted by three separate couples. The guy on "Firefly" discovered a way to stay young without becoming a vampire, so he lasted a few centuryies longer than his brothers. The same thing happened with Faith, Tru, and Echo.

For me it's a bit annoying when you see it's the same person but not that big of a deal. Some people think it's a huge deal and some don't. Was this a major screw up? I wouldn't call it that since they knew what they were doing. Bringing back actors/actresses you like isn't unusual. But it can be a bit annoying to the viewers.

Two different shows but still related. How would it be to see one of the bigger characters from one of the shows play someone completely different on the other? It's one thing if the shows have nothing in common storywise but as it is now it can be understandable that it annoys some people can't it?

That was different because you couldn't really tell who the Judge was, under all that makeup. But Holden was shown in his human face, and Knox had a human face too...

It would be the same thing if someone like...Drusilla's (I think it's Juliet Landau?) actress showed up on Angel playing a completely different character.

I know alot of people are not only NOT bothered by it, but love the use of the same actors because they like them.

Just because Buffy and Angel are in the same 'verse' they were on different networks and they also had a certain level of a different audience.

Personally, I loved Holden, thought he was a character I would have liked to see more of, yet I disliked Knox because he was boring.

Ohh and I really like the actor.
