Dayne Johnson -makeup artist on Angel (City Of Angel exclusive)
Dayne's approach to all the demons he works on is to "˜just do a good job'. After a while, one beasty can tend to blend into the next and at the end of the day it's just horns and fangs, but he did enjoy a challenge in the finale. "The Angel beast," he tells us, "was quite the job. Especially trying to get David [Boreanaz] in there. David's not really loving makeup. He almost tries to talk me out of putting any foundation or anything on him. He goes, "˜Oh, just cover the red spots up.' Oh no-no, no. So I have to go into my little baby voice and I'll say, "˜Well, if you'd wear makeup I'll make ya look pretty.' I have to talk to him something like that just to distract him and make him laugh so I can put the makeup on." He confesses, "I mean his makeup takes me 5-minutes, literally! And I have to say, "˜When you go out and do photo shoots, please tell me that you'll let the makeup artist put makeup on you.' Because it's a photo that's going to be around or 50 years or longer."
