Mal and Inara's relationship.

I may be abusing the forum to just ask a question like this, but: I can't remember if Mal and Inara's relationship ever went anywhere, but I do remember that INara clearly had feelings for Mal. I haven't watched Firefly in a while and can't recall the extent of their feelings for each other.

They were in denial. Maybe more towards themselves than to each other. In Inaras case it shows best in Heart of gold. They sure had chemistry and who knows what would have happened if the show had went on for a few seasons.

Nothing happened in the series beyond one kiss (Mal was unconscious, so he never knew) in "Our Mrs Reynolds" and Inara's breakdown (behind closed doors, so, once more, Mal didn't know) in "Hearts Of Gold" after Mal slept with the head prostitute. The end of the movie made it pretty obvious that they were finally about to make some sort of commitment.
