I just saw a commercial advertising this film where Katie Holmes plays the president's daughter going to college & Marc Blucas plays her love interest.

Not really looking forward to this movie. Just looks like a copy of Chasing Liberty starring Mandy Moore. But hopefully for him, it will be good.

It's not a "copy" both movie scripts came about/shot, etc all at the same time they delayed this one however because of the other movie.


I saw it because well I had nothing else to watch. Riley was wonderful. I mean erm Marc Blucas. He was totally Riley except the girl he was gah gah over wasn't Buffy it was the first daughter. I can completely see why they cast him. It wasn't even a slight stretch from his Buffy days. cool thing not sure if anyone noticed in James (Marc Blucas' ) room there's a Buffy DVD. I found that to be kinda' cute and I guess the set designer thought so as well. It was a lot like chasing liberty (which I also saw because well I had nothing else to watch) but I'd vote this one to be the best First Daughter movie any day. It was ....cute.

Okay I know i'm bumping this thread but i've only just managed to get this movie and I know i'm going to sound dumb, but I didn't realise that Marc Blucas was in this!

I love the film it is great, but Marc is sooo Riley!!!

I totally agree with what you've all said already, same old character, different girl.

They looked cute together though.

I thought it was a cute movie. He plays a good part (except for I knew it, knew it, knew it at the end about him). He's kinda hot in it.

Well I was really disappointed by the ending! I know it sucky but I like my movies to end up with the guy and girl getting together properly. Having her drive off at the end just ruined the whole movie for me! I was not impressed.
