Sounds like he isn't happy with how his character ended. Understandable that he feels that way, since it's the only real role he ever managed to play.
 
It sounds to me that Luke in this movie was doing exactly the same thing that Obiwan had done in the original movie, only Obiwan went out into the desert, instead of onto an island, and Obiwan was actually there, fighting Darth Vader, rather than just projecting himself from several light years away.
