I honestly don't mind when he writes about his own "personal experiences". I find it interesting when he's able to relate his own life to Buffy/Angel.

I still read them, so I obviously can't have too huge a problem with it, but in my opinion, it just makes him seem incredibly self-involved.

Firstly, Buffy was there! AMAZING.
I remember when one of my ex boyfriend's came back to my tiny little LA flat, that was in someone else's closet, and told me they loved me. I WISH I COULD FORGET IT.
This episode was so beautiful! JOSS WHEDON WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME? YOU GIVE ME SOMETHING PERFECT THEN YOU DESTROY IT. YOU HATE ME.

I didn't mind it at first, because anecdotes are interesting, but then he wrote more and more about his own personal life rather than the episode, and tended to natter on. Plus, his life is kind of depressing. His rants are too self-indulgent, I think.

Please. All the actors are attractive. Them being attractive doesn't mean they don't have a compelling relationship. If that were the case, it would mean the same for every single relationship in the verse.
That was kind of my point, I was being sarcastic, you know. I am not sure if you were serious or not but I am sick of shippers claiming that characters X and Y have "chemistry", so they must hook up, never mind if they can't stand each other or have tried to kill each other or one is gay, the other straight, etc. I don't give a damn how much "chemistry" they have, if them hooking up makes no sense when it's written on paper it will make just as little sense if they play it on screen.

Um, there aren't many relationships in that show where someone hasn't killed or tried to kill their significant other.
I know it was sarcasm. I was kind of being comical as well in my original post. Obviously, Spuffy has more than just physical attraction.
