Mark Watches Buffy (and Angel) #2

I find him annoying, but I cope with it in the hopes he'll say something interesting one day hehe.

I'm always shocked that everyone in the comments is so positive, and no one pulls him up on his lack of insight.

Hush review:

I am dearly hoping this isn’t an episode where no one says anything interesting, because that would suck so much.

My thought:

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think Mark was completely lying about being unspoiled. Some of his comments are just too foreshadow-y to be his real reactions to what's happening in the show.

I thought so too, his comments were definitely suspiciously foreshadow-y... But anyway, I still enjoy reading his reviews. I'm so happy he's finally met Tara, yay! 😀

I loved how he told Tara that she'll be dead by the end of the episode xD

With his undying love of Willow and him dying to have a gay character show on the show he'll flip with joy in a few episodes.

Which will make season 6 so much more fun to read when Willow goes bad, loses her friends and Tara dies xD I'm mean ._.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gave up the show in S6. He is just going to hate every single second of it that isn't a musical.
Mark doing buffy reviews! smh! yall do know Jennifer Lopez is also now doing Buffy reviews?

Your previous post pointed out that you don't enjoy Mark's reviews, that's okay, but please allow other people to enjoy or comment on them as much as they like without trying to bring in negativity about it.

🙂

To be fair, most of our comments are in the same vein as Mr Giles'.

Well, the majority of them are about the reviews... expressing opinions about what those say about the various episodes he's watching. Not only bashing/mocking them or their existence, there's a difference.

Jennifer Lopez is doing EVERYTHING.

That being said (to stay on topic), I feel his earlier reviews in the early seasons were much better reads.

Meh, I just wasn't that impressed with that speech. Mostly because I don't like Dawn and wish she didn't exist. Partly because I don't think Xander is that useful either. He's a tiny bit more useful than Dawn, but not by much. But that's me. I don't see how anyone can have feelings for a tv character.

I completely agree with you abotu Dawn; she is very irritating and not entertaining or a remotely engaging character. Although on the topic of Xander's speech, I thought it was great partly because of his reference to Oz, "I could fit Oz in my shaving kit, but come a full moon he had a wolfy mojo not to be messed with". It's funny and all, but I feel like in seasons 6 and 7 they never referenced events from past seasons, and I liked that Xander through that in there.

The funny thing about this is Oz becoming a wolf is a disadvantage, not an advantage. Xander is a more useful Scooby member when Oz changes into a wolf.

Has anyone read his review for Expecting (Ats 1.12) yet? He basically refuses to really review the episode just because he thinks that women being impregnated by demons is a common trope.

-expects the worst, loads of CAPS, so goes and reads it-

Gotta disagree with you here. Maybe I'm biased because I really disliked mystical preganancy arcs/episodes too, and not just because they're common, but it was more like he was saying he didn't like the episode. And seeing his other reviews for some episodes, it's not like the short length was out of the ordinary. He explained his view coherently and logically, and he didn't go all "I REFUSE TO REVIEW THIS PIECE OF CRAP", as was implied by your post.

What I find odd is he's enjoying the Initiative storyline. It ruined season 4 for me 😛

Lol the Initiative was the thing I least enjoyed about S4 too. (I liked other storylines and episodes a lot)

If he actually LIKES Adam then I'll be shocked. "I saw the inside of the boy and it was beautiful. My speeches will surely put my enemies to sleep. I am very boring"

Well (to me) the Initiative storyline seemd like it was going to be interesting at first. It just would up being... not so good.
