so whats your thoughts about marriege? now-a-days its seems not so essential, and the religous fact doen't matter that mutch..and it seems that the divorse percentage is growing each year..so is it really worth it marrying someone? or is it the same as living togueder just with a signed paper and some economics vantages? i'm not trying to criticize just really want to know your oppinions and if you think about eventually marrying?

I'm not gonna get married,I have nothing against people who do or anything, but its just not for me,I just dont see the point in spending that much money on one day, also my parents arent married, and it doesnt make a difference, they dont do anything different to what married people do,I just dont wanna get married, dont see the point..but thats just my opinion..

Can I get married to a puppet?...oh,this thread gave me an idea😀!
I think that if you're stupid enough to marry a guy that is 18 years younger than you and give him thousands of dollars just because, you should get killed...don't know what that has to do with your question, but just wanted to say it😛

My parents arnt married either...but they may aswell be...i dunno if i would get married...maybe i would if it was the right guy but i dont know..

It's one of my main goals in life. I'm very serious about getting married one day and making a family so that I can be happy and give my children the best possible circumstances to grow up in. Oh... that and I'm in love with Mike and I don't see us not getting married. 😀

I wanna get married i came close to getting married this august but it fell through my fiance died of cancer but i really do wanna get married but now i wanna wait till i'm like 22 so i can have a steady job hopefully be in college and then i wanna wait another 3 yrs after i get married before i have a kid i wanna know if the guy is gonna stick or if he can handle being around me...I've thought it through but i can't wait to get married...

Considering that I'm engaged, I figure I'm gonna get married...lol. I'm just waiting until my fiancee and I are both working and we can support ourselves.

Been there, done that, don't intend to do it again! Seriously, now. I am proud to say that I've been married for 20 yrs...and I intend to stay that way! We did live together before we got married (for about a year and a half), but we had been dating for 3+ yrs when we moved in...total 25yrs, for those scoring at home. I didn't think that actually being "married" mattered that much...until I was. There is something (I hesitate to use the word, but) sacred about the public affirmation of the vows of marriage. There have been times when that public acknowledgement was the stiffener in the resolve for both Mrs. D and me to just stay together and tough it out...not that we didn't love each other, we do...it's just that, occasionally, you may not like your partner very much, especially after a long nasty set-to. Knowing that you publicly said "for better, for worse" for certain people at certain times can be the difference between making up and breaking up. I'm all for it, and I recommend it to couples that want to do it. It IS meaningful.

Would be cool, but as I know I'll never find a guy,who I could REALLY trust then I'd say it might ork for some people(like killerdwarf) and for some it doesn't..

Although I do understand that marriage may not work for some people, I agree with KD. For me I was with my girlfriend for 7 years before we recently got engaged (about 2 months ago) and I assumed after such a long time it was just a formality. However when I was at my engagement party with my friends and family around I must admit that it felt much deeper and very different (in a good way). Although I can't counter the experience of KD, I think I do understand what he is saying.

I can't get married since I'm a lesbian, but I would like to some day. I want the commitment of marriage and the security it provides. Being outside the system and not being allowed to marry has sharpened my appreciation for marriage. If I found the right woman and had the right to marry, I would not hesitate to exercise this right.

That pisses me off...anyone should be able to get married...who cares if they are gay or straight?! Love is love! Best of luck to you Hitome! 😉

Well...I'm married...lol...take THAT how you will...

J/K Actually, I love being married. I'm with my best friend who's an awesomely hot guy that loves me and was willing to marry me on Halloween as a Vampire and gave me one kid of each to pop out. My kids rock and I just revel in the love! If you can stand bickering (and I love it because I always win without being "denied") And you can survive the inlaws (not as much with the loving it but it works) It's a really great deal. I would just say that you should be REALLY sure and REALLY ready to settle down. I find that many younger couples are in such a hurry to get married when there's pleanty of time. I WAS one of these couples but hey, we just work. And I hope we keep ON "workin'" 😉 😛 But seriously, marriage is really not something to be taken lightly. It's a wonderful thing that everyone should expierience...at the right pace. See the world first...get a slurpy...take your time.

Right now, I'm kind of indifferent to marriage as a whole. I think it would be nice, but I'm not really set on it being a goal in my life. My parents are going through a rough spot in their marriage right now, after 20 years together. It's frustrating, and I'm sometimes left to wonder if it's worth it. I'm sure for others it is, but I really don't know if I want that kind of commitment. At least not any time soon.
