Has anybody here seen this movie? I loved 300, and this one looked like it might be a pretty good satire, something like the Scary Movie and Naked Gun series.

I've watched it. I'm not really into those type of movies (e.g Scary Movie) so I didn't really care for it. It had some funny moments, when it was mocking things in pop culture, but the general movie was boring and not that funny to me. I won't tell you to not see it, because I think a lot of the people in the theatre liked it, it's just not my kind of movie.

Meet the Spartans(and its progenitors-that includes Date Movie(sorry,Aly...even you couldn't give life to this DOA movie)can't hold a candle to Airplane and The Naked Gun.

I want to see Meet the Spartans simply out of curiosity, however I don't have high hope because it's rated a 2.4/10 on IMDb, and is in the Bottom 100.
I think the Scary Movie franchise is decent enough, Scary Movie 3 being the best (the first two relied almost solely on sex jokes). I don't know why the spin-off films can't be as good but Date Movie was AWFUL, except for about two or three scenes.

Well, we saw it last night (lady Avenger loves comedies, which is about all we see unless it's some kiddie show for the grand daughter). I thought that there were a few humorous moments in it (Kevin What's-his-name yelling, "I'm about to go Hercules on your asses," brought a grin, though not a real laugh), and the guy who played Leonidas, aside from being too short, looked the part pretty well and had the voice down pretty well.
It ain't on my "Run out and buy the disc," list, though.

I saw this two days ago with a friend and we both thought it was funny enough. Although, mostly our day-to-day humour is "dirty jokes" so to us it was just new material. 😛
I liked the part where they had to break dance or whatever. And then that one part where Paris is talking to Nicole and she goes, "Oh, hey Nicole. I'm just talking to some guys with swords...No, Nicole. Actual swords. God, you're disgusting..."
