Meeting Friends Online

Yeah it would be great meeting up with an online friend! I think the only person i have added from here is Frenchy Faith!!! Yeah but there are people i do want to meet... unfortuntely he is in London at the moment 🙁
 
Well, I've met our dear old Faith. Wait, I take back the "old" bit cos she'll probably kill me for that! I've also met The First Evil who is better known as Satans Puppet on Karma boards.

Oh yeah, and I've spoken to some crazy people on the phone. They tried to pass themselves off as Frenchy Faith, epo and Ash. lol
 
Yea I met my last boyfriend on the internet, and we became really good friends first, I went to see him a couple of times and then we got together. (And yea now that I think about it, my boyfriend befóre that I also met on the internet.. But it wasn't really the same, we lived in the same town and all and had some common friends already.)

And like epo said we had our Buffy hangout, her and me and JollyApe which was so scary first but turned out so great and fun!

so another experience.. I met Dru on My Space and we really got along... and about 2 months or so after I first talked to her on there, I had to go to Paris for exams and she invited me to stay in her house. That was the nicest thing ever.. and honestly I was sooooo scared but everything went fine.... she's so awesome and we got along at once... (I think)... then I went back for my passport and later for an oral exam (wait I actually went to see you 3 times?? It's about time YOU come see me missy!) and we like talk on MSN about everyday and she's such a great friend (asking for my news so very often and texting me at 6.59am!!! hehe) :banana:
Plus now being a Buffy fan as well... couldn't be more perfect.. hehe 😉

So... Erm.. I got nothing more to say except maybe the fact that I was not scared at all. I'm sooo used to crazy people (since I am one myself... But anyway). So, yeah, met Frenchy on Myspace, started to talk to her and she told me she's looking for a hotel in Paris. I was thinking of invinting her but I didn't know if my Momy was agree but as usually, she was thinking the same thing as I and so you got an invitation to Paris!!
And then as you said, you came 1, 2 and then 3 times! 😀😀😀 Great times!!
And yes, yes I think I'm coming but not for a few days as you did, but for weeks 😀😀😀 *scared again huh?*

EDIT: Shouldn't you be sleeping at midnight instead of posting on this forum huh? You 10 years old little girl?*
 
I've met several people in person that I became acquainted with online first, and two or three of them are now my BEST friends. We get together as often as we can. Two of them live fairly close to me and the other lives in Las Vegas. We've been on vacations together, have flown to each other's houses to attend concerts, just to party and hang out. For some reason, these few friends I've made online, are closer to where I am in my life right now, than some people I've known all my life. It just seems like they "get" it more. I don't know why that is, but that's the way it's turned out. I hope to build other strong friendships like that and eventually meet in person. It's fun to meet people you've made a connection with online in RL, as long as they're not axe murderers! I think people who are like-minded and would develop friendships in person also do the same in an online environment, there's no real difference to me.....birds of a feather and all.
 
Ive never met anyone on BB cos I dont think anyone lives in Glasgow except me. Everyones in England or a different country.

Ive met loads of people on the other forum Im part of but since most people on that forum are from Glasgow and we all go to the same club and know the same people...

Well, I have never met anyone that I've talked to online.

I think it would be interesting to meet some people from the BB. We interact so much and have a good time, it's hard not to know about their real personalities or put a face to a name. Although, I think it would be hard because we would be calling each other by our usernames instead of our actual names.

So, if anyone is ever in Northern Illinois, look me up. And if anyone is in the New York area, I am scheduling a trip there this summer. Hopefully it works out.

Actually, the group of friends I mentioned earlier DO call eachother by our board names, or by nicknames based on our board names. One girl, whose board name is Epiphany is called Pippy for short. I think of her as Pippy, even.

Lol.. My Swedish BB friends usually call me by my real name.. But when I was in Birmingham and visitied Frenchy_Faith (and Ash), everyone called me epo 😀 It was fun 'cause after a few days one of her friends was like "whaat? epo isn't your real name??", hehe. And of course everyone calls Frenchy_Faith Faith and not her real name.

Course! Hehe... I'm Faith or Frenchy... I kick whoever dare call me something else! Though N and Jan came up with Leeloo last time cause of my last name.. and they were it's like in the 5th element and wanted to call me that! Epo suits btw! hehe!
i'd love to meet up with some of the friends i've made online (you guys know who you are😉
i'm going to the Angel Con in May, and i THINK a certain poster is going too, so we'll probably meet then!
 
I have the BB to thank for my very hot and knife-cuttable-tention-y friendship with Epo. And God knows what and where I would be without her!

I haven't met any of my online friends, but i have a few that i feel really close too.
I wouldn't meet them until i was about 16, because well my Dad would never let me, but my friend Viki was coming to my town last year, but my dad wouldn't let me go 🙁
The people i talk to online are fantastic people, and i would meet them anyday, i can talk to 3 of my online friends about anything 🙂
 
I think your dad has the right idea, to be honest. Not that i'm saying any of your online friends are nutcases or anything, lol! 😀

Truthfully though, as much as i have no big problem with meeting up with people i've met online, i'm a 30 year old guy and i can look after myself. I might have a very different opinion these days if i was a teenage girl.

I stand by my belief that 99% of the people you will ever meet on here are perfectly normal but you can't forget that there are some real weirdos out there too.
 
The Watcher, yeah i agree with my Dad, at the end of the day he is looking out for my best interest, and even if i were to cinsider meeting anyone, i think i would take someone with me 🙂

I haven't met anyone off of BB causei dont think anyone lives near me lol, but i have met some other friends offline, its great to meet new people expecially the kinda people who share the same interests and stuff. Its good to becareful when meeting someone off line and its great if your gonna meet someone new you bring someone you trust along. Just in case. Most people i have met offline were at Chat parties, and my dad and step mom where always there with me so.
