Meeting the cast!

I really want to go to Hallowedon 4 cause I love Xander,Dr Simon, Joyce makes me laugh and I actually like Gunn (don't understand why he hasn't got much fans 🙁 ) I really want to meet them, should I go? I have never been to one so can someone tell me what it be like? 🙂 and can you buy merch there?

You should definitely go if you can, the con is really good fun. You can buy merchandise but the dealer's room was quite small last year...

Standard is entry and autographs. With Silver you get entry, autographs and photo ops. Gold, you get the same as silver and some bits and pieces, like mugs and t-shirts, I think, and a drinks reception (if it's the same as last year). Gold and Silver get you closer to the front in terms of seating etc.

Not really sure what's involved with the VIP package - too far out of my price range!

LoL tell me about it when I saw the VIP I was like whattttt??? haha thanks for the info I am tempted to go silver or gold 🙂 might go silver as I am thinking of going to the Gimm/Once Upon Time event too, thanks for all the info it helps a lot! 😀

Oh man...I had to read through this thread when I noticed it and now I am so jealous of all you lucky BBers who've met multiple cast members!!

I met Summer Glau once without even planning it. She was attending the premiere of the film Skeleton Key which happened to be taking place at Universal Studios when I was there. We went over to the crowd standing by the carpet and asked what was going on- they said they were there waiting for Firefly cast who were supposed to be attending! I had actually just watched Firefly for the first time mere weeks before this, so it was amazing. So when Summer came down the carpet, we kept cheering for her by name and she actually came directly over to us (even though she wasn't supposed to go past a certain barrier). Anyway she was SO SWEET. She was nice enough to sign the random scraps of paper we had with us and we got pictures while she did so. Since then I've had a special love for her. <3 Morena Baccarin was also there, although she didn't come over and just waved at us (looking gorgeous as usual). We heard that Nathan Fillion was supposed to attend but he never showed, sadly.

The cast members I'd most like to meet are James Marsters, Amber Benson, Charisma Carpenter, Nicky Brendon and Nathan Fillion. ONE DAY! I've yet to attend a convention so I feel a bit lost with that world, but I think I wanna try and make it happen this year...

First cast member I ever met was Anthony Head and it was funny because I didn't plan to.
I'd been a Buffy fan for years, then when I was 14, dad got me tickets to see Little Britain live.
That night (in Birmingham) both Anthony and Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey) were not in the show and were allowed to watch from the audience. They were both sat literally behind me! (Like feel breath on back of head close)
I felt rude asking anything at first, but when the show ended, I got chatting about Buffy and got an autograph and a photo and he was great!

So, I got back from C2E2 on Sunday, having met Felicia Day, Jane Espenson and Amber Benson. Felicia was very nice. She signed my Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 7 DVD box set cover with her name and "Vi". Jane was also very cool. She signed my copy of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8: Retreat collection, and addressed it to myself. I also enjoyed her "Husbands: Television and Beyond" and "Fierce Females of Television" panels. She came across as very smart, compassionate and understanding. Amber Benson was my favorite, though. She really liked the question I asked her at the "Foe, Fangs and Fur: A Look Inside Urban Fantasy Novels" panel. The question was: "The Calliope Reaper-Jones novels often reference ancient mythologies. Could you tell us how you were introduced to mythology, and your personal interest in the subject?" Specifically, she replied, "I like yooouuu!" in a semi-flirty manner 😉. She signed my copy of Death's Daughter with the words "To Matt, Much ::heart::", and her signature. She also really liked the "Willow Kissing Tara" gay equality symbol that I forwarded to her, and which Living Dead Boy posted on this very site. Here are the pics:

I met James Marsters at a Comic Con in Philly last year. He pretty much goes to every Comic Con he can which is awesome. Took a photo with him and got an autograph saying:

He's a really cool guy to meet, very down to Earth. He told me how he used to go to Comic Conventions when he was younger and waited in line for hours to meet Leonard Nemoy and before he got to the front of the line Leonard had already left.
Other than that I saw a panel the same day which included: Amber Benson (Tara), James Marsters (Spike), Mark Metcalf (The Master), and Clare Kramer (Glory).

Originally Juliet Landau (Drusilla) was supposed to be show up, but she was unavailable so Clare Kramer filled in at the last second which was an epic surprise.

I got to meet Nicholas Brendon at the Motor City Comic Con. He's so sweet. He asks all the fans if they want a hug. Of course everyone says yes! I got a Xander action figure signed, too.
