Winning Award Categories

Here is a list of the winning award categories. We included all those that had got 10 votes and over but we tried to make sure that we had a good variety of awards which were of a positive note.

We made a few alterations to the list as in we combined the Xander & Anya awards into one award as they were basically for the same thing - humour, and they used to be a couple so figured it would still work well. We also eliminated the award for oldest member as well, only one person can win this award so it's not really a vote thing. We decided against the Bite Me awards for crankiest member as it was somewhat negative, the Superstars award for most creative as we have several creative type awards, like fanfic/banner maker and topic starter and also This Years Girl award for most popular female as that would be nothing more than a popularity thing and we can't really have most popuar female without most popular male.😉 And also The Cheeseman award for most random poster. Other than those few, the following awards came in with the most votes and will be used for categories.
  1. The Xander & Anya Award - for humour - 18 votes
  2. Gingerbread Award - most creative topic starter - 17 votes
  3. Tabula Rasa - best username - 14 votes
  4. Sunnydale Art Gallery Award - best banner and or wallpaper maker - 14 votes
  5. Storyteller Award - best fanfic writer - 14 votes
  6. Faith Award - award for coolest member - 13 votes
  7. Class Protector Award - award for helping newbies - 12 votes
  8. Gotta Get Me A Life Award - member on the boards the most - 12 votes
  9. Best Little Pumpkin Belly - cutest member - 11 votes
  10. Best New Scoobie - best new member - 11 votes
  11. Obsessed Award - member most obsessed
  12. Troika Award of Excellence - biggest know it all of Buffy/Angel
  13. Powers that Be Award - Most known member 11
  14. Willows Shirt Award - most creative sig/sig that stands out the most - 11 votes
  15. Family Award - member who makes the boards like home for you - 10 votes

    As we ended up with so many cateories the awards will be split into 3 groups, which will alternate every 3 months giving 5 awards each month. This will mean everyone has a chance of winning and should make it easier for members to make their votes. Thanks to Jules who came up with the following:-

    2)Troika Award of Excellence - biggest know it all of Buffy/Ange

    Each month you will be reminded of which categories you are making your votes for so you don't have to worry about remembering them now.🙂

    The votes for Month 1 categories will begin tomorrow so please start PMing me with your votes from tomorrow. You will have until the 30th October to get your vote in.

just to be clear. I take those 5 awards and vote 5 people who are best for them right??? and how come were not posting in a trea- oh ok stupid question.
 
Just a quick reminder to you all that none of the staff are eligible to be voted for any of the awards but staff can vote for other members.

Please vote for one member for each award and PM me with you votes, stating each award and who you want your vote to go to.🙂

Hey, quick question, are we gonna have runner-ups or not?
 
That will depend on the number of votes members receive I think, if there are clear winners and a clear runner up then more than likely there will be one runner up for each category but like I just said it all depends on the voting.😉

Let's just say it's less than 20 members...

If more people don't vote then to be honest the awards will be a waste of time really, which is a shame as alot of you took the time and effort to come up with the idea and award categories but if members don't vote then it looks like this will be the one and only month the awards will run...
 
Actually less than 20, to be exact only 18 members have voted and at least 3/4 of them are staff so only 14/15 members have taken the time to vote.

Disappointing really...
 
That's bad. The weird thing is 25 ppl voted for the awards, so that's seven votes missing.
 
Yup, some people just haven't bothered to vote I guess - maybe I will get more in the last 2 weeks but I doubt it - plus some people voted for staff and still haven't PM'd me back with their alternative votes either...

I really expected this to be more popular as people seemed enthusiastic about it but that just doens't seem to be the case.

Well, I've already made the award buttons, so I'll post them here - though I doubt that will encourage people to vote 'lol'
