Memories of 2011

What are the most memorable things to you from 2011?

Mine are (not in any order):
Getting back into BtVS and joining the BB family.
Going to Brussels with my boyfriend for my 20th birthday.
The deaths of Osama Bin Laden and Gadaffi.
Spending the summer working in Cornwall by the sea.
The death of my best friend, and becoming close to her family as a result.
Moving into my new flat.

I have a lot of good memories from 2011 not in any order:
1. Seeing Glee on tour in London
2. Seeing Rihanna and Katy Perry on tour
3. Going on my first 'big' holiday to Ibiza with my boyfriend
4. Getting through the year
5. Memorable events like Gadaffi and Bin Laden

I have a lot of great memories of 2011 but #1 has to be going to Dragon*Con.

- Seeing Morrissey for the second time
- Going to Glastonbury for the 4th time <3
- Going to 2000 Trees and making some new friends
- Drunken nights and BBQs
- Starting second year of uni and making friends with the cat I live with

-Joining BB and meeting all of you guys!!
-Getting put into Drogyn... DROGYN PRIDE!!!
-Going to Echo 2, LFCC and Vampire Ball 2. Where I got to meet loads of really awesome people including Julie Benz, Shawnee Smith, Dichen Lachman and Claire Kramer!!!
-Going to a new secondary school. Was a great move in my opinion
-Finding Tumblr... its amazing!!!

Last year was quite possibly the biggest blur of my life. It literally consisted of nothing but work, and work and work. But when I think about it, I guess I have a few highlights:

1. Graduated from The Hellmouth (a.k.a Job Corps: Never go there. The biggest waste of time.)
2. Got my first job.
3. Smoked my first joint. (He,he.)
4. Joined BB (Woo, hoo!)
5. Finally realized that I have to split from my former band in order to move foward with what I want to do with my life, which is to become a professional musician.

....so all in all, a really long, dragged out, boring year. So this year I'm planning on taking matters into my own hands so I can make the best of it.

*Family Turbulence.

*I saw Dr. Horrible!
*I became addicted to Dr. Horrible!
*I ran into a wall five times in one day!

Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is meeting Nicholas Brendon and his twin brother Kelly. Like, this was the best day of my life. I spent it with great friends and I asked a question at the panel, I got a hug from both Nick and Kelly. It was a day that made me so happy despite being really sick.

But also watching Angel has been great. Oh, and my friendship with Alex getting fixed. Because it kinda broke awhile back and we fixed it. I'm so happy.

And now it's 2012!

Most memorable things in 2011... Hmmm, there have been a lot of them for me this year!!
*Sending my husband off for his first deployment. I knew it was gonna be hard, and challenging, but I was so proud of him going off to war to fight for our country!
*Having the flu and pnuemonia at the same time with both my girls... Yeah, NOT fun. LOL
*Becoming a moderator on BB; I felt so honored!!
*Taking my girls camping for the first time in a tent this summer. It was HOT AS HELL but we had a great time. 😀 The kids loved the experience!
*Seeing my best friend and favorite cousin (who is the same girl!) marry the man of her dreams. 🙂

*Seeing the Foo Fighters for the 7th time 🙂
*Kings of Leon concert
*Going on my first overseas trip with my friends. We went to Fiji and it was so damn awesome! 😀
*Being there when my cousin's bf proposed to her while we were in Fiji
*Crazy bad drama that some of my poor friends went through 🙁
*My dog Bandit, that I have had since I was about 7 years old passing away 🙁
*Getting my new puppy Dexter a week ago 😀

Hmmm....I'm sure I'm probably forgetting something, but that's all I can think of right now.

...that awkward moment when you realize your life is so drag compared to others. You guys have some great memories. It's time I start making some. Hopefully 2012's memories will have something to do with going overseas to Figi, or going to a concert (I've never been), or surviving the apocalypse. Something cool like that. 🙂

I forgot to add onto mine that I joined BB and became a moderator which is fantastic. And rekindled my love for photoshop 🙂 overall 2011 was good but I'm hoping to top it with 2012 🙂

*Starting a new job that I had a bad feeling about
*Quitting my new job because I hated the management
*Taking a whole new career path
*Having my best friend around for like 6 months, he's back in Louisiana now but it was sweet having him around all summer and fall 🙂

Off the top of my head:

1. Started my band
2. Getting back to the BB
3. Meeting James Marsters and Eliza Dushku and both of them admiring my artwork.
4. Discovering Buddhism.

All awesomely good times.

2011 was always going to be a difficult year for me because of what happened the previous year, but I think the main things will be something like this:

Good things:
-My mum and dad's new cat Sofie- she's grey and white longhaired and licks your hand when you stroke her
-Finding ways of keeping busy which don't cost too much money
-Making a new set of friends on BB
-Raising some money for the children's heart unit at my local hospital and some good friendships becoming better as a result
-Being diagnosed as clinical depressive in September. It might seem weird to claim this as a good thing, but I have medication with therapy to come, and I think I'm more relaxed and taking more care of myself as a result.


Bad things:
-My friend Des dying in November
-I've had to let a number of friendships which had run their course go this last year
-Gradually realising that there's little or no chance of natural progression from my job

GOOD THINGS.

1. Getting close to none other than our very own Zoe...oh, and her wonderful girlfriend Tabby.
2. Going to see Paramore.
3. Meeting Stan Walker.
4. Writing and finishing a 20 chapter Harry Potter fanfiction.
5. Not failing any in school tests.
6. Getting a hold of Taylor Swift's rare songs.
7. Growing even closer to Allyse through Harry Potter.
8. Getting my friend Carla into Buffy at last.

BAD THINGS

1. My parents month long seperation, and the night it occured on.
2. All the tears shed.
3. Any moment spent fighting with my father, which happened a lot.
4. Losing a friend...(I gained her back though.)
5. Probably a lot more stuff but yeah.

Wow 2011 was a whirl wind year!

1. Grauduated from school
2. Moved into a new house
3. Got a new job
4. FINALLY stopped hanging out with my ex
5. Went to Europe and Hawai'i
6. Oh AND turned 30!

Talk about life turnover! 😱😀
