Usually my threads are,lets just say quiet,the occasional tumble weed blowing past,then this,i'm humbled you decided to
share your memories with moi!
Incidently,has anybody ever found lurrve on the Boards?
Will the Great and powerfull Wizard of Buffy share a memories with us?
Have i stepped over the mark in this thread,do i reek of self importance?

Hmm,private joke,or what!!!!?
I remember being made really welcome when I first joined, and then experiencing a problem where I couldn't keep my mouth shut and getting myself into bother! 😛

Then Blondie lovingly took me under her wing and made me a shiny happy member! 😀

Joining the IRC for the first time was awesome, it was great to be in a lively chat room.

I remember being way proud when I got my first eggies, I love being a mommy!

And most recently, winning Buffy Boards Big Brother, and coming out to read everyone's support and the posts of those who wanted me to win! (My prize, I can't get it til tomorrow though as it's at home, but expect picatures tomorrow! 😛)

I love this place, and have lots of awesome memories, that make me smile despite whatever bad crap goes on here, and makes me want to defend the Board and the staff to the ground! 😀

Oh, I have so many great memories of this place. 🙂 It was the most welcomed I'd ever felt on a forum, and it sort of spoilt me in that way. No other forum can be as good as BB.

I remember making my welcome thread, and making a stupid mistake and having TK point it out. 😉
I remember being sorted into VH and not fully understanding what we were meant to do in the dorms, haha.
I remember when we first got an IRC channel for the boards and the weird French guy.
I remember the shoutbox madness. 😀
I remember feeling more confident to post, once I got to know everyone and realise how lovely they were. I have friends for life that I've made here. And I've met 3 of them irl too, hopefully more one day. 🙂
I remember staying up all night talking to TK for no reason. 😛

Yep, I have. 🙂 That would be TK (The Kinslayer). And I've been to Sweden 4 times now since December.

Well, in VH you are supposed to sit around and talk about how great VH is.. in Merrick you have the age old debate of Hamiltonian vs Lagrangian.. Drogyn you see who can get drunk and vomit the fastest and poor Raiden laments about always being the forgotten house. Really.. has anything good ever came out of Raiden?

Okay here's my memories!. 😀

I remember hearing about this place from Joe (heheh aka Lurker-joke!)
I remember my first checking post being pleasantly surprised at the response.
I remember logging into the irc and the first few times it was just me and Aussie and she showed me her horse pictures.
I remember Lurker being my first proper friend.
I remember coming home early from college and hanging out with the usual irc crew 😀 I loved those days!
I remember going in to the irc and not understanding what the heck was going on.
I remember my first thread something like your top 5 films and EB wasn't impressed!
I remember being nominated for the little pumpkin belly award at the buffies and being really shocked that I was even up there.
I remember my first rubbish attempts at art!
I remember the first thread that I started that got over the limit I was so proud! (it was the twilight one I think)
I remember many,many different names! (CrazyLady,Crazybubblelady,Katypie,Sweets) and how I'm secretly love them all.
I remember getting sorted into Drogyn and realizing I can post what I like and people like me for it! and realising its clearly the best drama free place (DROGYNMAS! still went ahead when all the banning stuff was going on and was AMAZING) and simply the best place on the boards.
Mostly I just remember having fun and people being there for me, I've made some fantastic friends, whom I love loads.
 
What a nice post, captain peroxide. 🙂 I too am grateful to have a place like this to talk with people about my favorite shows.

Memories? Well. I remember, when I was new here, I had a huge fight with Edmund Blackladder regarding whether or not Buffy made what he called the "correct choice" by sacrificing herself to save Dawn (and the world) in 'The Gift.' I remember it got pretty heated between us, and I said some mean stuff. I look back and realize what a moron was being, but at the time, I was upset that everyone didn't agree with me 🙂 Since, I've learned to love to disagree with people regarding the shows.

VH really is the Dorm of Love. (Even though other dorms recently started copying us by getting fiancés and real world boyfriends sorted into the same dorms as their better halves. 😛 )

What can i say,the man has stronge opinions.
Our wonderfull*polishing his best arguement with EB award*
Spat was brief,but..................brief,i called him pal,he said he wouldn't waste a whole post on me,that was it.
Short but insipid😉
He taught me something that day,or night,or whatever it was!
Watch what you say,if your not sure,dont say it then.
It made me the man i am today.
Short,ugly,and weired in the brainpan area.
Loads of you have found luuuurrvve here,well i think its disgusting*puts on Mary Whitehouse wig*Maybe i can find it too,not on here though,nobody loves poor old CP,with the dodgy tooth,and deafness in the lug'oles,lol.

I've so many memories that include 3am duties, April Fools jokes and banner competitions 😉

Mostly it is the people that have passed through the boards. Some I met up with in New York and really miss and one that is still here...sadly 😉

and yes, "that line" is still used by all three of us at some point i think. its just SO thorough when you tell someone that, isnt it? 😀
 
I remember the first person I hated on here was Lou... honestly. I could not friggin STAND the woman.

The best thing is I don't even know where I got it from. I'm sure I heard it on tv at some point but it popped in and bam. I just remember not being able to breathe because I was laughing so much.

I used it the other day on a friend at work, we love to wind each other up and her jaw just dropped.
