Mention of a Certain Somebody...

Sorry, I'm totally giddy with happiness right now. Diminished_9th probably knows what I'm talking about, and I'm sorry if this means nothing to anybody else. But tomorrow's episode of Buffy is going to have a special moment for me. This isn't a big spoiler, or anything relevant to the story. But, I'd like to thank Monday Devil from OzMIA for this little bit of info. - There is a slight mention of Oz, and about five members of this forum are probably excited about that. lol Here's what Monday Devil said Xander says (probably not an accurate quote, but still..):

"And Oz, well, I could fit him into my shaving kit,
but come the full moon and he was this werewolf."

Yay! Thoughts of Oz; Ozi-thoughts.😛😀
 
AHHHHHHHHHHH! They are going to actually talk about him! I can't wait! They are going to say Oz in an episode! For awhile there I thought it was a forbidden word or something! Come on tomorrow night!
 
Man!! I hate being spoiled....but YAY!! I actually had not read that, but I came looking in here because...well, it was you posting, 5x5, so I took a wild guess and thought I *might* be interested, and....oh......he MUST COME BACK!!!

Yeah, they haven't said Oz's name since, like, Season 5 (I think Xander was again the one to do the mentioning); it's kinda depressing in it's own way.🙄

Well don't I feel special? And it's not such a big spoil; but now, (no matter what happens to you tomorrow), you have something great to look forward to all day. I think Xander might say something more, so at least I didn't tell you everything (hopefully).

I think this is a triple-smilie moment. 🙂🙂🙂
 
Well, it's good to know the older characters haven't been totally forgotten, it would be good to see Oz back, even if it was just for one eppy.🙂🙂​
 
That's cool! ... He was a cool character, so it's only fair they mention him every now and again!
 
hmmm I wonder how Joss is going to write him in. What with Will being a lezbian and all. That could get really interesting... I always loved oz!!!
 
Oh....Watcher Girl, don't get your hopes up.....we don't know if he's coming back, and most of us don't think he is (takes a moment to cry on 5x5's shoulder....OK, I'm better now...) It's just a lot of us are somewhat bitter about the total lack of Oz mention, like he never existed. So any mention gets us all hyper.
 
Yes! Very hyper! I just watched it and it was so funny! But it was disappointing that in two years that all the have to say about him. How could they do this? I mean they could have atleast said a little more about him! I think I'm gonna cry... :cry:
 
I actually really liked it, cuz it was so off-handed.....like Oz coming up in conversation is no big deal. It made me feel like he comes up often, not a taboo subject....is thought about and talked about.....no biggie.

They just need to bring him up more. And then bring him back!
 
I watched it last night, but I heard no mention of Oz, 🙁 It must have been when I was on the phone, :'(. Anywho, Oz rocked!! Willow was already a lesbian on the last episode that Oz was in wasn't he? Cuz he thought it was Willow coming up the hall but it was Tara, and he smelled Willow on her and he got all mad and realized that Willow had changed, 🙁, poor Oz. You think if he ever came back them two would hook back up?? That would be awesome, and with Willow's new powers she could totally cure him of his werewolfness (even though he managed to control it somewhat, until he got mad...ARGH!😡 )

Yeah, but they could be really good friends, and Oz could be a shoulder for her to cry on. Somebody neutral.

You really think Oz would wanna be her friend? I mean, he was pretty darn mad and stormed off after he found out she was gay.
 
I don't think "stormed off" is the right term....bailed, yes, but I don't think Oz is the type to hold a grudge. I think he left because, yes, he was hurt, but also because he felt like he was still a threat to the people he cared about.

Don't you guys wonder what happened to him? What he's doing now? Joss left this story wide open with no resolution; How did Oz learn to deal with the wolf?

For all of us that love him, Joss should finish the tale.
 
I don't think he was mad because she was gay, rather he was upset that he couldn't be with her. They did share that heartfelt hug at the end of "New Moon Rising" which seemed to indicate that they'd always be friends (if they can't be together for real🙁).
 
Did they ever say how Oz got to the point where he didn't change during a Full Moon, only when he got mad? Besides, I don't think Willow would have ever gone gay had Oz never left. Oz was awesome, if this is the last season, he needs to come back. Oh and while I'm talking about Oz, I remember watching an episode of Buffy a couple weeks ago, the one where Spike got that invincibility ring thing that let him walk in the sun, and when he staked Harmony she didn't die, she just healed up, and Oz said he had a gig in L.A. and he'd swing by Angel's and give him that ring cuz Buffy wanted him to have it. Whatever happened to that ring? Did he give it to Angel and Angel destroy it, or did Oz just never get around to giving it Angel?
