The mention notifications are not working. At least, not for me. I've been mentioned a few times in my dorm and I don't get notified that I received a mention.

I wanted to post here to see if it was happening to others.

Good to know that it hasn't just been me.
[MENTION=10582]brinkster130[/MENTION] So far. I don't know if I get mention notifications outside of dorm threads.
 
I was mentioned in a dorm thread too and I didn't get the notification.
 
I didn't get a notification for that mention, [MENTION=10728]Abbeycat[/MENTION].
 
I was having this issue a few days ago but the last 24 hours when I have had quite a few mentions (thanks VH, love you guys and gals) they have all come through.

I wondered if it might be a lag issue, that the notifications don't come through immediately and reading the post before the notification comes through cancels the notification. Although in one case I think there were a couple of hours between the post and me reading it so maybe not.
 
I was also mentioned and didn't get a notification. I don't remember whether it was in my dorm though. But I guess it must be a common problem, since everybody seems to have it.

Oh, and I want to test if it works now, so could somebody please mention me here in this thread?
 
Are mentions normally active from your Dorms? I've only ever gotten Mentions from the main forums.

Yeah I got it. And BB makes me log out fine.
Actually, I got a notification form OM's mention but not one from [MENTION=10728]Abbeycat[/MENTION]'s mention.

Perhaps its only certain accounts that are having trouble?
 
Actually there might be some other glitches happening as well. I just tried to log off the BB and it won't let me.

Anybody here having that problem aside from the Mentions?

I seemed to have found threads where I've been mentioned but received no notifications for...

As to OM's question: I never log out; I find it annoying logging in all the time. 😱
 
Maybe it was just a temporary problem.
And the thing with the logging out could be a web browser error, so it probably has nothing to do with the Boards.
 
Not just in the dorms I'm not getting mentions, as PassionBecoming just mentioned me in the Who's in the Chat thread and I didn't receive that notification
 
I was also mentioned and quoted yesterday and I didn't get a notification. But sometimes I get a notification. It's really weird.
 
Since the BB has a clean bill of health, it could simply be a lag, nothing to be worried about. Perhaps clearing your browser cookies will help, as it seems a good majority of us never log off of here. Lots of crap accumulates. 😛
 
I haven't gotten any notifications about mentions in the last 24 hours and i've had a few. I'll clean the cookies but could someone mention me so we can see if that solves the problem. Even if I do log off when I leave the boards.
