Okay, it says I'm two years old, but for some reason I could never post here. I gave up not long after and moved on. But I've come back now. Watching all of Angel in the space of three week lit a fire. I want to participate in Buffy fandom....again. Yeah, it's been like 10 years. Yeah, I posted on the Bronze forum of the official website in 1999. Amyrat was my first, and now forever, screen name. It's not like I haven't been a part of fandom before and posted on forums. Hell, way too many of my high school years were spent on posting about how Ron and Hermione make a lot more sense together than Harry and Hermione. But Buffy wasn't anything I needed to share with a big group of strangers, and I think that's because my sister and I had long, involved conversations about just about everything having to do with the series.
I love the Buffyverse terribly. And I'm pretty sure if I ever meet Joss Whedon I'd break down and cry in his presence. I watch random episodes of Buffy all the time, it's like water to me. Something I need, but something I don't think about needing. So maybe that's why it was Angel and not Buffy that sparked me. It's also made me feel bad about being a horribly lazy fan when it comes to Angel. I just finished After the Fall for Christ's sake! Brain Lynch is a cool guy, and I'm glad it's him writing it. But to say some other stuff...don't have much else.
I'm Ellen, I live in Wisconsin. I'll be 23 soon. I live at home since I have no money. I'm a grad student at UW Milwaukee where I'm trying to get my Master's in Anthropology. I'm going to do my thesis on anime conventions.
But that's all the boring crap, right?

2. I would love to talk to you about how the Buffy fandom online has changed since The Bronze age. (NOTE: this goes for anyone else who may have been a member of The Bronze Forum) I'm just crazy interested in that stuff...

Washburne, my education isn't boring, but I was being glib about my life being boring and normal. That's why we have TV 🙂
zobothehobo, I can't tell you too much, it was a billion years ago, and I was 11. I don't think I said much besides "that was awesome."

Ooh I used to post at the original Bronze PB too! I just started posting here in January so, like you, it took me awhile to get back into the fandom though the show never left my heart and mind! It's nice to talk to other fans, isn't it?
 
Welcome Ellen! I often forget to come and say hi to the newbies but I'm sure glad I did! This is a wonderful little community, I'm sure you'll love it!!! 🙂
