Merlin

This post actually contains a major spoiler. 🙂

After seeing the episode where
Uther confessed to Gaius that Morgana was his daughter
I realised, but since I already know the legend, I just accepted it as fact that everyone knew, which is why I was so confused to begin with!

I wouldn't have been confused about the tension if I'd have known that
no one knew
if you get what I'm saying?

I must have forgotten the legend when I first watched the show because I think I was surprised by that development. I have read TH White's book, but it's been a long time.

Sometimes I love Uther and sometimes I really hate him. He's a total flawed character.

Anthony has said in interviews that he tries to play Uther as a complex, fully-realized character rather than a one-dimensional person. I think he does a great job.

Yeah me too, it's so weird seeing him be harsh sometimes though, I'm so used to him being all kindly and Giles-ish!

The thing with him though is that I find it hard to decide whether he is actually a good person or not.

I thought it was part of the legend, but perhaps not now I come to think about it, or I'm sure no one would have been surprised...since I came into it late perhaps someone spoiled it for me and I thought it had been revealed from the start. Unsure now!

I don't think Uther is a good man at all. He casually puts people to death left and right inlcuding people who have clearly done nothing wrong, let alone something worthy of being put to death. 'Course, life was a lot cheaper back then.

But he is a loving and devoted father, and I give him kudos for that.

I just took a very quick look on the 'net and it appears that Morgan Le Fay (aka Morgana) was the child of Ygraine and Gorlois, so she was Arthur's half-sister on the other side. The t.v. show has turned that all around.

Merlin what are you doing to my emotions??? Seriously. Series 3 finale and I now officially
hate the woman that just a posts back I was expressing my love for. Damn she's evil.
