Met anyone famous?

I'll share something that irritates me a lot, though.

I work on the basement level of my work right, (a Super-market)... When Justin Timberlake was in my town for a concert, he came into our store and bought a drink! The ground floor, above me! I love Justin! He was METRES away from me and I missed out!!!!

Justin!!!! I was THIS close to him at his concert!!!
Rage were pretty awesome but Im not a die-hard fan, so it would have been even better for them! Gyroscope were great and pnuw (i duno how you spell it but it sound like pinow) were fantastic. I didnt think they would be as good as they were so I was pleasently suprised! It was bloody hot tho!! I've met the gyroscope guys a few times in pubs etc over the last few years and I have jebediahs autographs (also in a pub!!).
yep faithy5by5 you missed out! Big day out Rocks!

About the best I can offer is that my band opened for Bill Haley's Comets a couple of years ago, and I kinda know in passing one of the guys who plays for Exile and one who plays for Montgomery Gentry. That's about as close to famous as I've ever met.

Met anyone famous....hmmm...
I accidentally ended up 'meeting' J.K. Rowling several years back. It was when I was living in England for like six months or something and I was just innocently walking through a bookstore and there was this crowd in the center that were moving much like a huge crab (i.e sidestepping) and I was like 'what the hell is going on here?' So I did my pushing through the crowd thing to have a nosy and came face to face with Rowling herself. She was doing a reading of one of the HP books.

Erm..oh, also Meg Cabot on one of her book tour things when I was living in New York. I know she writes mainly teen lit, but she is just one of my favorite authors. I just love her characters and the way she writes. In fact I love it so much that she has kept me reading teen lit well into my twenties....haha. So meeting her was cool as she is just an incredibly cool person (and a fan of cats which always adds points in my book)

And then...one more was Finola Hughes. That was a she-was-shopping-I-was-shopping deal. You know where you cross paths and like hit each other with your shopping bags? haha. Yeah, it was one of those moments. Just glad I didn't just stare in shock at her, as I've loved her in pretty much everything; GH, All My Children, How Do I Look?, Charmed...

Aussie agrees: You have a band? Do you have groupies? Then you are Famous!
A legend in my own mind, that's me.

Slayer Comma The agrees: Or are you living groupie free nowadays? hehe

Yeah, Groupies Anonymous was a big help with that... :lmao:

Not too many nope. Shemar Moore, Claire Danes and Geri Halliwell (spice girl). I think that's it.

I used to live across the street from a guy who played guitar for Lynard Skynard (sp?). Okay, well, I lived down the street and my grandparents lived across the street. We were neighbors. I could see his house from just about any front-facing window in either house. He had three daughters close to my age. They went to school and Girl Scouts with me and we were playmates. Sometimes, the girls' dad would get out his guitar and play for us. That was fun.

I met Delores O'Riardon (lead singer of the Canberries)

Also my cousin met John Travolta last summer when JT's plan had to make an emergency landing in Shannon Airport and my friend met Bono...he had dropped his passport on a flight to L.A. and she picked it up and brought it to him in First Class.

Oh and all the Irish will appreciate this...I met Bosco!!!!!

The lead singer of the Cranberries? ? ?!!!! I adored them throughout my entire teenage years! haha. Well, not my entire entire obviously, but yeah I absolutely loved them. In fact I still sing many of their songs to myself (when I'm on the own in the house obviously. Not out in public....honest!) But yes, that is so very much the cool.

We are from the same place and it ain't that big. She was nice.

I was in walking distance of the drummer of Evanescence. I could've gone to talk to him...but I chickened out. Also, I didn't wanna bring the swarm of fangirls to him, so I let him be. It felt rude or something.

I did say hi to the old drummer of Evanescence at the first show I went to. He leaned out of the bus. I also said hi to Amy Lee's bodyguard, Richie. I think that's about it.
