Just wondering who here have met any famous people i.e bands, actors and actresses etc.

I just got an email that I won a meet and greet pass for In Flames(my favourite band) next Monday. College Canteen + This New = Many strange looks at me jumping around.

Can't wait though.

Wondering who Marti Pellow is 🙂
Anywho, as far as famous people go (and bear in mind I am thinking famous is a loose word because how does one decide if another is famous) I have Rick Trevino, who is a country singer from the states. I have met all four members of Marigold which is a local band in Oregon. I have met Daniel Johns and Ben Gillies of Silverchair (single greatest moment of my life) um I think that is pretty much it. Oh wait I also met Kelvin Kato who is a basketball player for the Portland Trailblazers.

Don Ho in Hawaii decades ago, William Shatner a few years later, Christopher Lambert, and Charlton Heston. If you count writers, Jerry Ahern, Bill Jordan, Charles "Skeeter" Skelton, and Steven Hunter (almost met Clive Cussler, but I was too late).

I've met Jerry Flannery and Paul O'Connell from the Musnter rugby team...it would be a big deal in Ireland lol.

Charlton Heston
OH MY!!!! OOOOOOHHH MY... mr. white avenger you just gave me wood! you met The Man. You cant just tease me with that. What was he like? Gimmie some details man!

That is so cool. I, wow. I thought Don Ho was it till Chucks name came up.

EDIT: and if you are going to say anything that ruins it and paints him in a bad light, then just lie to me. He just seems like such a normal guy, considering the amount of epic movies and stardom.

I thought it was NRA.. was going to say did you go to a shootin range.

Yeah, I actually had dinner with him. Just Mr Heston, me and 500 other NRA/Republicans.
Am a huge U2 fan and have met Edge 3 times, Bono twice, Adam ( the bassist ) twice and Larry ( the drummer once). Got a pic with Bono and Edge. :faint: I have a setlist a roadie had given me at a concert and its now signed by the 4 of them. : lovey :

Have also met Graham Norton, random celebs from Hollyoaks and footballers from Man Utd wandering around Liverpool and Manchester city centres shopping. And several pop bands which are of no interest.

Sadly no Buffy people yet, though if any conventions are attednted next year by any of them i will try go. 😀

ETA: To keanoite .Graham Norton was awesome. Nice guy. I asked for a pic with him and so did my friend, it was when he was still doing the channel 4 show.

Wait, I totally forgot!! I met Bill Clinton. He was really funny, and he was playing his saxophone, pure legend.

I've met a lot of the Buffy/Angel/Firefly cast, plus Gordon Brown (in Heathrow Airport, lol) Rolf Harris, few local Northern Ireland celebs (one of which I served in work today! lmao) Couple of the Man United team, old team, actually, Nicky Butt, etc. Keith Gelleispie (sp?) Northern Ireland player, um, I think that's it, lol.

how did you manage to meet so many of the Buffy folks?
Never met anyone famous. Although I almost met S Club 7 at one of their concerts. And I still regret missing that chance.

I met Glaswegian comedian Limmy when he was filming at my work on Monday. And also Sanjeev Kohli who plays Naveed in Still Game.

They're famous to me.

I met David Beckham once when I was in England. And that's pretty much it. Though my Mom has met these famous Ukranian boxing champions (the Klishko brothers or something like that; dunno how well they're known outside of Germany) at the airport in Moscow.

I've met a few members of Iced Earth and Trivium. There's another similar bands whose members I've met but I can't remember their name. I used to go to so many metal shows, didn't even matter who they were or whether I knew their music. Its always just such a good time. Now I'm a little pickier with who I'll go see since I'm adult and have to spend money on the real world rather than just fun. lol
