Michelle Trachtenberg Was ‘Not in Good Shape,’ Struggling with Addiction Before Her Death

If it had come from her family, it would have been different, but from somebody ”close” (which I guess is debatable) it just feels in poor taste.

I agree that yeah, we all have eyes and MT looked to be in bad shape before she passed, that said, publically speaking on it when you are not a direct part of the family just seems gossipy and headline-chasing

It is an important issue as she points out, and brings up her own daughter’s issues, but again… she is not Michelle’s family and it should have been up to them to make headlines on this, if they wanted it out there.

That for me is not even the main issue. Its more the whole "oh if only Michelle had come to me, I tried to meet up with her but she kept cancelling etc"
Pure prformative self aggrandising nonsense right there.
Look whatever addiction or personal issues Michelle may have had, she would need professional help for those not a cup off coffee with an old work colleague

I remember reading somewhere that Rosie and Michelle had stayed close friends over all these years after they met working on Harriet the Spy. I got the feeling Rosie was sort of a mother figure to Michelle, which may explain why she feels she can speak on Michelle's private issues.
