Now, I know this show got worse after the original rangers were kicked off in Turbo, but I think the original rangers were cool. How many people in here agree? How many of you disagree and why?

Honestly? I absolutely hated this show, right from the start. The acting was terrible. The fight sequences (especially the ones between the big honkin' Transformer wannabe robots) were lame and the monster costumes sucked big time.

Overall, I really don't like that whole style of Japanese influenced US television anyway. It just looks cheap and tacky, especially when you throw in actors of extremely low quality and a low budget on the special effects.
 
Man i used to love this show back when Kimberly, Billy, Tommy, and all were on it.... Man i was nuts over Kimberly i wanted to be just like the pink ranger i even went out for halloween as her, but after She got kicked off i just stopped watching the show.. I still have the Power Ranger movie too in my old disney movie box lol
 
the originals are usually the cream of the crop. i was down with the power rangers back then. oh angel grove.. those were the days haha.. but once they turned into cars or whatever it was over for me.
 
Power Rangers hey.... my teacher was the black one.. dont know which series he was on.. but I know that much.. It was an alright show.. I own one of the movies... with Ivan Ooze.. (however you spell it) so i love power rangers.. 🙂

i think i was about 7 when the power rangers were first shown over here. and i absolutly loved them! my fave was Kimberly, i wanted to be just like her! i had the movie too...actually i think i still have it somewhere, my sister was watching it a few months ago. i remember having a crush on the black ranger from the movie...i think his name was Adam.
but yeah, after they left Angel Grove and Kimberly was kicked off, i stopped watching.
 
i used to have a crush on tommy seriously bad lol I was nuts over him... i mean looking back at the movie he's still cute but my god... i dont know why i was that crazy bout him... lol
 
yeah, i liked Tommy, too, AB. but Adam was my fave... i thought he was so cute! lol. i still go for that kinda guy today, tall, thin...you know what i mean, girls! 😉
 
I loved the originals, but I was, like, 7 back then.

Now that I'm older, it's ridiculous. Like, how the hell did I believe that those fight scenes were real.
But then again, wrestling appealled to me as well.
 
I used to live for this show, It was so good!! I saw it live when it came to Dublin, They wee the real actors and everything, When they morphed it was on the screen behind them and the Zord battle was there to. And That Gold Lion henchman guy scared the living crap outta me! I'd really love to see the original again sometime, I'm gonna go look for it on TV later!

I can't figure out if this thread is the dumbest thread ever, or just pure comedic genius. Considering the source, I'm going with the latter.

I was a little too old back then to watch this bastardized American, kid-oriented version of Power Rangers....but my kid bro was obsessed with it. And that overly-hyper-arpeggio'd theme music drove me nuts. 😛

I much prefer to watch the original Japanese Super Sentai Rangers. Those are geared more to older-types, and are much darker in tone.

I love Power Rangers, always have. Old school is the only, in my opinion. Kimberly is my goddess.
