Mindblowing facts about Btvs/Ats

In the Angel opening credits, there is a woman standing in an L.A street. That's actually not from an ATS episode, but the BTVS episode ''Anne''.

I know right!? For a while I wondered what that scene was from and then I realized..
Not sure if this is mind blowing but the actor who releases the hell hounds in prom is the voice singer in disney's Aladdin. Also he does the singing in superstar.

all auditioned for Buffy. Katie Holmes got the role but dropped out at the last minute.

Actor Christian Kane also auditioned for Riley Finn. Kane went on to play the role of Lindsey McDonald on the spin-off show Angel. Kane says he played his audition for Riley "perhaps a little less than wholesome", which he feels resulted in Joss Whedon later casting him as a darker character - source
 
Alot of this I knew from listening to the commentaries on the dvds & watching the featurettes & panels. But I totally never knew that Katie Holmes originally got the part of Buffy. I just can't imagine her as Buffy AT ALL.
