Being a huge Giles/Jenny shipper, I sometimes like to do what I call a G/J Mini-Marathon. This means that I skim through all or most of the episodes that have G/J in them. Do any of you guys do Mini-Marathons, looking for a certain repeated element or theme? (Like pre-Spuffy Spike marathon or something.)

Giles/Jenny shipper karma!
I have to simultaneously watch early seasons, late seasons and Angel seasons or I miss characters from the seasons I'm watching. I rarely watch the show in chronological order.

I do Spike or Spuffy marathons sometimes...

Me too.

I posted this elsewhere the other day, but it fits here - my sister's coming home tomorrow and she put on my facebook that she wants to watch some Buffy. Of course, I said yes, and asked her which episodes... to which she replied "Naked Spike ones."

So... looks like we'll be doing a marathon of... Harsh Light of Day, The I in Team, Out of My Mind, Intervention, Wrecked, Gone, Dead Things, As You Were and Sleeper. LOL.

Oh God, do I actually know all the eps with Spike shirtlessness...? Did I miss any? 😱

I do this sometimes... I'll get in the mood to watch a certain story arc, or if I'm making an art piece devoted to a certain season I may watch a few eps to get me "in the mood". Last Halloween I watched all the Halloween themed BtVS eps. 🙂

I do that with the Spike and Buffy centric episodes and sometimes an Ethan Rayne marathon as I always thought the show was at its best when he was there.

No, i'm still in the middle of my first re-watch. However I do like the idea of mini-marathons, I might do one with the first episode of Angel and then the last, and then one with the first episode of Buffy then the last. Just to get an idea of how far both shows and characters have come.

I LOVE the idea of mini-marathons, but I can't say I've ever done one on my own. Mostly for me they happen when they're on TV that way (ie, for Halloween, FX shows all the Halloween or FX-deemed-scary episodes, etc).

However, I am definitely a chronological viewer - I'm a purist, what can I say lol. It's funny - I find that in viewing the episodes in order, while very time consuming, tends to make me lose steam towards the end of the 3rd season and beginning of the 4th... then I take some time away, and come back and marathon the heck out the 5-7 lol 🙂

Interesting idea Valjavertjinn. I never considered having mini-marathons like that. I think I'd like to try like a body swap type marathon. So far I have.

Halloween, This Year's Girl, Who Are?, The Replacement, Tabula Rasa

Are there any others that I'm missing?
