Ok, so 5 new arrivals made their way into the big wide world last night as our one of our guinea pigs, Squeak gave birth. The first one appearing at 10.21pm and the last just after 10.40pm.

As far as we can tell, she's had 3 sows and 2 boars. 🙂

Slayergal asked me if I could post pics after they were born, so here they are:-

This was taken as she was in the process of giving birth

And this was taken this morning at 8.00am.

It was also nice as yesterday was exactly 12 months since Squeak came home with us. 😀

Our other pig, Mouse, is due anytime soon as well. 🙂

he he he, they look all wet and new, lol. Do you have to make sure they don't get eaten??

You're welcome! 😀 They've been eating their first veggies earlier today, less than 24 hours old, incredible really that they are already starting to eat things other than their mothers milk!

Oh, and no BEG, they won't get eaten 'lol' They're not like hamsters or mice, who as I remember will eat their young if disturbed or threatened - with guinea pigs you can handle the babies as soon as the mum has finished cleaning them up, we held the first one at less than an hour old. 😀
