Caridad's Watch
F'd up slayer sister
My heart goes out to my best friend and her family today. They're missing a family member who happens to be a 4-year-old boy. This is the story. Charity's Aunt and Uncle had a baby boy named Tyler four years ago. That's also around the time they became heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol. Charity's mother witnessed some unpleasent actions towards the child and had him live with them. Everything was fine for four months, until the parents wanted their kid back. They brought the police over and Charity's mother was forced to give the family back. Luckily social services took an interest in the case and not only did they take custody of Tyler from his parents, but gave it to Charity and her mother. So, now she has an adopted brother who she actually helped raise since he was born. Yesterday, Tyler's parents were supposed to hand him over to the police, but when the police got there, no one answered the doors. Tyler's parents had packed some bags, kidnapped Tyler and took off with Tyler. He's been missing for a little over 24 hours. We're all worried because, God forbid, what if they get drunk or high and drive and there's a car accident? Or what if they're drunk or high and forget they left him outside the car and take off? There are so many fears going through everyone's minds right now. We all just want this boy brought home safely. He's such a joy to be around and he doesn't deserve the situation he's in. Please keep Charity's family in your prayers and pray that her nephew/adopted brother is brought back safely. I'll be lighting a candle in my window tonight.
