Missing Episode

I've noticed something and been meaning to bring it up. There was no Buffy's birthday episode this season. They usually air in Janurary, but I don't think they even mentioned her birthday this season. I feel gypped. Does anyone else feel gypped?

OK, I just hadda vent.
 
Don't they like skip a Season when they do Buffy's birthday? Season 2 there was an episode for her birthday "(Surprise"), Season 3 there wasn't, Season 4 there was one ("A New Man"), Season 5 there wasn't, Season 6 there was one ("Older and Far Away"), so Season 7 there isn't one.
 
Season 3 Buffy had a birthday! The episode was devoted to it, "Helpless". When a slayer turns 18 they have to go through a big test....it resulted in Giles getting fired. Season 2 also had a her birthday, 4 did but it wasn't a major occurence just sort of to make Giles feel as if he was out of the loop. As far as I can recall season 5 didn't have one, but season 6 did. So Seasons 1, 5, and 7 have not featured Buffy's birthday.
 
Season 5, she had a birthday. Remember it was the episode when Dawn cut herself to see if she was real or not.

I hope they do birthday episode of Buffy.
 
I think I read somewhere that it's alway the episode that's closest to Janurary 12, or somewhere around there. Anyway, I know that Helpless aired in Janurary.

Thanks, Buffy16Angel, for pointing out that there was a birthday ep in season 5. Interestingly, the episode was aired Feburary 6. So it could still happen I suppose. I actually knew about Helpless, I misread FiveByFive's post.

So it's confirmed; this is the first season without a birthday episode since season 1, which I don't count since it was a half season anyway. On the bright side, it's possible that it might still be coming up.
 
I think that with keeping a birthday 'tradition' alive, with the exception of season one, Buffy needs to have a birthday! But I'm not sure how quiet and calm her birthday could be at this time, and she always wants a quiet birthday.

Hmm... not sure.
 
Okay, let's look at the dates:
S2 "Surprise" - Jan. 19
S3 "Helpless" - Jan. 19
S4 "A New Man" - Jan 25
S5 "Blood Ties" - Feb. 6
S6 "Older and Far Away" - Feb 12
My guess, if they were going to have a birthday episode, it would have already aired by now, or it will be one of the next episodes in February. Each year, the date of the episode seems to be later in the year, so you never know. I think it's crap though; they should, for once, celebrate another Scoobies' birthday (even though they celebrated Tara's once).
