Missing THEMESONG!?

I was pissed when the movie had ended and not once did I hear the words "You can't take the sky from me"! Where did the theme song go? I would've been happy with it being background music but not once did I hear even a few bars from the beloved theme. The first thing I said to princess_zombie after the movie was "Where the hell is the themesong" (Although I doubt she understood me through my sobs.....damn I love Wash) . I think it was horrible that they didn't play the theme, it completely describes everything they are! It made me mad.
 
I saw the movie before the series so I did not know about the theme tune and now that I have seen the series and grown to love the theme tune I was trying to remember if it was in the movie, so I guess it's not. They really should have put it in!
 
It's different though, they tweeked it for the movie, it's not the original song...and it isn't techinically IN the movie, not many peoplt sit throught the credits, he should've had it somewhere where people would notice
 
Yeah, i agree, it should of been somewhere else. A treat for the Firefly fans or something.
And I'm not one of the people who usually sit through out the credits. I was just really bored.
 
I was too when I found it, the only reason I watched it was because Joss Whedon's comentary told me to. I especially liked the outtakes.....

lol, that was the other reason i watched it. I always listen too what the TV tells me, and it told me to watch the credits.

the outtakes were great, I liked the one when Mal shot the guy in the ship. He looked so innocent saying "my cartridge fell out of my gun"

That just cracks me up, and I now notice....wow...no one will care, but there it is!

That was funny as hell!
I was upset about the theme song not being there, too. When they didn't play it at the beginning, I thought to myself...."well, they'll probably play it over the credits." And then they didn't! I was quite pissed off about that! Luckily, I was home alone so noone could hear my cussing!
 
MIFFED-They did play a tad of it at the VERY end of the credits but i dont know who would sit through those unless they listened to Joss Whedon's commentary (he tells you to watch the credits, and thou shalt not refuse thy god)

Ahhhh! That's where I went wrong, huh? I haven't listened to Joss' commentary yet. I've been so busy watching Serenity over and over (and ok....I watched the outtakes, so sue me!) I haven't gotten that far yet!

I really wish they'd left that extended Mal/Inara escape scene in, too. Dammit!
