Who follows this sport? Any favorite fighters?

Me am so glad couture is champ, but we'll see if crocop has anything to do with it heh?
 
I may be being a bit dense but I didn't understand the above post...anyone care to enlighten me...is it some sort of wrestling?

thanks for posting those links and explanations

man, its really grown allot, but i miss the early days, when gracies owned the world, and, mma was still on the fringes. That was only like 5-6 years ago. I think mma's incline is obviously linked to boxing's decline, but i think it would've taken longer had boxing had it's crap together. For example, not being corrupt. having one organization, no don king or aram. the powers that be in boxing are so short sighted and selfish to realize that their selfish gain is what will kill the sport. And it was a good sport too. I wonder when we see mma in the olympics?
 
I've seen some matches, and some of those Ultimate Fighter things on Spike, but it's not something I know a lot about.

One thing I've always had an idle curiosity about though, is the question, is there a woman's league. It is of course ludicrous to consider the possibility of anything like a mixed match of mixed martial arts - man vs woman - but do woman ever fight each other in MMA?

I wouldn't mind seeing at least one. I like female boxing. Some of them are pretty skilled and ferocious.
 
Unfortunately I understand. My fiance is big into these tings. Kinda bores me talking about it 😛

yeah i follow it somewhat mainly because like wicked.. my bf is completely into this... infact he used to practice it himself so... Yeah it kinda bores me too lol i just sit there and watch because he loves it so... haha

The Elite XC (which is a new MMA show that is on Showtime) shows women's fights. I saw Gina Carano beat up another woman on the last episode. She is actually pretty hot too xD.

That was a pretty entertaining fight. Boy, they'd be sore in the morning, eh?
 
bodog got some good women's fighters...i believe because of natural qualities of women in general...i think they better than the men with ju jitsu because of the higher ratio of muscle in their hip region as well as their flexibility...

any favorite fighters...
