ok bored so ...... was woundering who has mobiles and what you think of them? is it good to have one or a huge drain on ££££££ and whats your model... ( me got new one after 4 yrs.... lol)

I am cheap actually my dad and grandma just have really bad credit and i'm not old enough to get my own plan yet so i have a Tmobile crap phone but its good to have when i'm at the mall or something when it has signal lol
 
I have one, but I am the worst person with phones I am so bloody clumsy I so should not be aloud to have one, I have had about 9 over the last 6 years, and my list of clumsiness includes:

Breaking from being dropped too many times
Just broke for no reason
Spilled Coke on it
Dropped in a toilet, (Used, and not by me 🙁 )
Left on a train from Pompeii to Rome
Smashed screen

that just totally reminded me of some i know who hates them just as much...
i have a cell. i always have it with me too. stupid random people get my number tho. random phone calls in history class. hmmmm, maybe i should turn it off during school.
 
I seriously have no idea how I survived before I had a mobile phone. Then again, I got my first one when I was 14 but still..

Anyways, I have two, a Swedish one and an English one. Couldn't live without it since I don't have a regular phone.. I don't call people much (phone calls in English are scary), but I'm a huge fan of text messages 😉

i text way to much...i pay to get 200 messages, and 10 cents for each after that...i had $27 in overage charges for text messaging last month...oops
I have a pay-as-you-go Nokia which rarely gets used except for texting Mrs P or my brother.

The little buggers sure seem to have taken over, don't they?

Anyone who doesn't have one and is not sure about them should read Stephen King's latest book "Cell"...you won't want one after that 🙂
 
I love my mobile phone! Couldn't live without it seriously. I text people all the time... (isn't that right, Frenchy) I'm so much a fan of phone calls but there you have it.

I keep thinking phones are evil... I have my reasons.... but I have to admit they can be useful and fun as well.... I kinda like my phone in the UK cause certain ppl won't call me on it cause it's uk hehe ... I hate having one in France.... :mad61:

And yup yup... elmo is a big text fan..... (you need need to be cured against this addiction sweety! hehe.. or maybe not... 😉 )

I like it.. it has a belly... :silly: and i aint a big txt messager... but I txt more than I ring people... I think it is so cute! I also have a Nokia.. but my Motorola is cuter so i showed you that instead :biggrin:

...it should've been the slogan on a souvenir t-shirt 🙂 - it's true though. I also caught a glimpse of elmo's, Frenchy's and epo's...

yep, i have a mobile (cell) phone. my parents wouldn't allow me to have one until i was 16, so i was the only kid in my high school without a mobile. it wasn't a fun time.
but i got one for my 16th birthday, and i've had about 6 or 7 in the last 6 years. i'm a very indesisive person, i change my mind a lot. once i've had a phne for about a year, i want a new one, so i keep taking it back to the shop to trade it in! and apart from one time when my phone was ran over my a very pissed off friend, that's the only reason i change my phone.
i changed it a few weeks ago actually to a brand new Sony Ericsson, which i'm really loving, so maybe i'll keep it for more than a year!!
 
I have a nokia very similar to elmo's....it is a nessessty for me as being in digs i can't have a landline.

P.S Al your number is fake ..? Yes..?
 
I want to know how it can still be called a mobile/cell phone when you can watch tv, take a picture or movie, play video games, email people, surf the web, listen to music and use it as a night lite?
A phone is a device that allows a person to call someone and speak to them. Not be an all-in-one entertainment device.
Oh and I do have a cell phone. My wife and I share it but we do not have all the entertainment options and use it maybe 4 or 5 times a month.
 
I can't believe that 22 of us have mobiles and no-one doesn't have one, 10 years ago, hardly anyone had one.

I personally couldn't live without my little phone and it's sooo cute.

I had my first cell last summer cuz my parents thought it wasn't useful...I think we become slave of this little thing...I have one since a year and I can't remember how I was living without it...I hate phone calls so I send text messages...
