Does anyone else think that the moira demon sent to kill either angel or buffy in the episode i will remember you could have been sent by the first. Afterall we know that just a year earlier the first was trying to kill angel in amends, and who better to kill angel or buffy than a demon assasin whose job is to kill warriors.

There is evidence for this in the episode too, which is:

1. The Moira mentions the end of days, which is an episode title in series 7.
2. The turok han seem to be the only soldiers of darkness we know in the show and the oracles and the moira demon say they are coming.
3. The oracles say buffy would be one of the first to die, which if the firsts plan in series 7 had been sucessful she would have been one, if not the first.
4. The demon says that buffy and angel are powerful together, but weak alone. Could this possibly be a reference to the fact buffy needed a vampire with a soul in series 7, without one she would have surely lost and considering angel was the only one at that time then the demon and the first would have assumed that it would be angel to help buffy

Very intresting theory, You have backed it up very well. except:
3. The oracles say buffy would be one of the first to die, which if the firsts plan in series 7 had been sucessful she would have been one, if not the first.

The First had planned to kill her last, not first, so that another slayer could not be activated. But then again maybe her death refers to her death at the end of season 5, which started the whole thing off.

She would die sooner than everyone else, on the grand scale, i always thought he meant until he'd raised his army or killed all the potentials because the turok han certainly had a good 'stab' at it in the last episode

I guess that if you explain it like BEG, with Buffy's death in s5... this theory makes perfect sense.

True, or with my other explanation about buffy being one of the first to die, as she would have been after the turok han were released, lol should have posted this
I'm not sure. I guess I don't really see the point of The First sending the Moira to destroy Angel/Buffy. It doesn't really fit in with the First's plan of action.

I do, however, have a conflicting thought about your last point. The fact that Buffy did need a vampire with a soul to defeat the First. That's rolling around in my head right now.

if the first did send the demon, then wouldnt he have said something, cus as the first goes, its always bragging about all the stuff its done, surely he would have tried to use that against Buffy to try and make her remeber that day to throw her off the final battle. And did Buffy really need a vampire with a soul didn't she need a champion, she could of warn it herself.

Nice theory but i tend to think that it was actually referring to the Senior Partner's big Apocalypse when it mentioned the whole end of days thing. That would certainly make more sense, given the overall theme of what happened to Angel during the run of his series.

Not all the demons that attacked Angel in the early days where aware of his importance to Wolfram and Hart, in fact many of their own lawyers were not entirely in the loop, so it's more than possible that the demon knew about the coming apocalypse and saw Angel as a threat to it coming about.

Maybe when the oracles sent angel back in time and changed events then the first only knew about the second day, and not the first and obviously he isn't likely to show of to buffy about a terrible defeat, afterall he doesn't mention trying to kill angel in amends because it was a failed attempt.

We don't actually know if it would have worked with buffy, one the translation isn't clear and also we don't know whether buffy would count, although she is a slayer, does that make her more than human, i mean even though she is a slayer she is still human unlike angel and spike
