6. Spike -- He still has that Gem of Amara stash holed up somewhere, I'd wager. Granted, Harmony may have taken a nice chunk out of it, but that was a lot of gold and other bounty.

7. The Trio -- they had a treasure trove of geeky goodies in that basement of theirs, not to mention neato robotics and advanced weaponry prototypes. Certainly the surviving members (or member, when it came down to it) could have made a pretty penny off the proceeds.

8. Anya -- The girl is a money-making machine. 'Nuff said.

I always wondered how many zeroes were on that check that Giles gave Buffy in S-6.

The first girls were brought to Sunnydale by Giles, so I would assume that he furnished the expense money for the girls' upkeep. If he could afford to fly all over the world picking up the various girls, he obviously had some money hid back somewhere. (As far as that goes, he might have "borrowed" a few access numbers to various Watchers' Council bank accounts when he was stealing their books dealing with the First Evil)

Good points, sure... but I can't imagine how much money it would have taken for Giles to feed an entire household of 20+ for months. It seems a bit of a stretch. Except for the creative borrowing from the council. I could see that.

3. Andrew -- they tortured him to reveal where rest of the cash was from their bank robbery in S6. I am sure not all was spent.

4. Anya -- She did not quite write epic poem as much as visit a bank and withdraw lot of cash of which we never see or hear again later somehow.

These two are plausible, Andrew more than Anya... I thought of the Anya thing... but I'm not sure that she would use her money to sustain the herd.

Also thought of... but I would assume that this money kept W/D/B's needs met for an entire year... and the repairs needed for the house. I am not sure (unless it was A LOT of zeros) that it would have held out all of S7.

However... all good points, and many plausible explainations that was a lot of mouths to feed, clothes to buy, ect., ect. And I want Giles as my sugar daddy!
