I was watching this episode and I wondered, could the monks who bound Moloch to the book be of the same order as the monks who made the key into Dawn?
 
I've always wondered that. Also, who would when in a fight? Molech/Key binding monks or Angel's Tibetan demon monks?

Good eye! Believe it or not I never even thought of that. I guess it's because I Robot, You Jane is in Season 1, and Dawn doesn't show up until The Real Me.
 
That's a pretty cool idea. Do we get to know where the monks that made the key are from? Which country?
'Cause I think the monk from I,Robot... You, Jane were from Italy. I think they spoke Italian. Do I remember that correctly?
I can't remember the language that was spoken by the monks from season 5.
 
I believe the monks in "I Robot" were Italian and the monk we saw for an extended period in season 5 seemed, (from his accent), to be from a region in Eastern/Central/Southeastern Europe. But that's just based on sound, nothing else!
 
Could be that they are from the same order, but that the members came from different countries. Did we just hear one monk season in season 5, or several so we can compare their accents?
 
I'm not sure, I supposed it's the same kind of thing that's being done- binding things to stuff, or stuff to things. I don't think the Producers had thought about this either, but it's a really cool theory! I always love in Buffy/Angel how things in the past tend to tie up with things in the future.
