Monster of the week

Joss says that there will be no big bad. I think that's a good idea, since Buffy does a better job with that. It will be a monster-of-the-week format, like season 1.
 
I prefer monsters of the week aswell..leave the big bads for the last eppys....he had enough with season 4... I'm just getting tired of The Beast, same thing all the time.
 
If they work in an underlying plot in a monster of the week concept it can work, cause to be honest now that I look back at Season 4 it would have worked much better if there wasnt so much melodrama and extended plot device.

Like for example, make it so that W&H are using the Angel Investigations team for their apocalypse, each of them are filling important parts and various things and missions they are given which involves monsters or problems of the week in the end tie together in the apocalypse which is the season finales 2 parter, it ends with part 1 and S6 would begin with part 2.(I just love those cliffhangers).
 
I hate monster of the week. The reason Angel is so much better than most other tv shows is because each episode carries on one continuous story. They are only doing self-contained episodes because The WB told Joss they wanted higher ratings, and they think this will make it easier for casual viewers to watch a single episode without feeling completely lost.
 
I prefer monster of the week, if I had to choose. I would think the best way would be to have a main theme over the season, but have it be the brackground storyline, not the main storyline, like season 4.
 
I don't have a preference one way or the other. It seems to me that they have been able to uphold the show, goint either way. Even if it is a monster of the week season, there will still be an underlying major plot for the season. I mean, Hello! Wolfram & Hart baby! we still don't know the real reason why AI is now in charge of W&H.
 
Ok if the whole monster of the week thing is gonna turn in to a Sailor Moon than Im not watching. I want it to build up like a big bad. It gets so borring when there doing the same thing only say different things and aproach it differently (like Sailor Moon) but in the end the ouctome is exactly the same. The good guys always win. I want them to vournable and scared at times.

Ohhhh this better not hapen!!!
