For those of you who enjoyed the series, the disc set is now available. I just received mine from Amazon.

(For those of you who didn't enjoy the series...well...it's available anyway.)
 
i quite enjoyed it, I also saw quite a few episodes before realising its was a total Angel copy, in fact it couldnt be more of an angel copy... but like i said, i quite enjoyed it and would have continued to get my Ange...Moonlight fix if it wasn't canceled.
 
"A total Angel copy"? How could you even think such a thing? Angel doesn't sleep in a freezer. Next thing you know, somebody's gonna tell me that "Dark Angel" is a Buffy rip off.

Seriously, though, yeah, it IS almost like having an extra season of "Angel," just like "New Amsterdam" is almost kinda sorta like having an extra season of "Highlander." I've got no problem with that. I even used to watch Clint Eastwood movies when there weren't any John Wayne ones available. Kinda sorta beats the heck out of ain't no more.
 
I'm sorry but the only similarities between Angel and Moonlight I see is that they're vampire shows. The Angel universe is almost 100% different. Moonlight is more similar to Forever Knight.
 
I don't know Forever Knight but I agree
almost all the series that deal with vampires are in some point similar (like moonlight, angel, blood ties):
the main characters are strong, immotal and try to save humans
mainly they look very hot and are in love with a human woman, and the realationship is very complicated because it's too dangerous..
 
i saw a commercial advertising the dvds... now i have never seen the show, but is it just me, or did they pick like the crappiest scenes to put on that commercial? if i can find it on youtube ill post it. but yeah, the acting just seemed horrible but it was in snippets, which isnt fair and might just have not been its better scenes... but then i think well that's the impression they are giving to me, a person whose never seen the show, they really aren't giving much incentive to check it out. blech.
 
I've watched Moonlight so I was really sad when i knew there wouldnt be a seson 2 :S i hate when they cancel a show just like that -__-
about moonlight being a copy of angel.. well, i dont agree with that. sure, the series are similar because both shows are about vampires who want to save people.. would you say that (for exemple) "Criminal Minds" is a copy of CSI? i think they're totally different shows.. just because the main character is a vampire who doesnt like being what he is, doesnt make it a copy of Angel... : )

no your right... two vampires who are fighting on the side of good, in LA, repenting over their past, brooding, not feeding on humans, running their own detective agency, meeting a blonde detective, having strange mysterious women sire them, using the same EXACT actor for their love interest for the first season... pfft what was I thinking??

Interestingly the only thing they DID change was the vampire lore. Do you consider this originality RG? To take some other vampire lure and intersplice it with angel to create a new show?

Anyway, like i said, i had no problem with this.
