I know there will be no more episodes of angel....(grr) how about a comic or something? and who else hated the way Angel just kinda left you hanging?? i mean sure it was a good ending cause it affected me but it was annoying!! 🙁

Well there are the Angel IDW comics, of course, but I imagine you're talking about something Canon which will answer questions like how did they get out of the alley. Yeah, that's on a lot of people's wish lists.

Angel IDW Comics

most of the IDW comics deal more with what happened between episodes, i guess you could say. i've only read a few of the One Shots, Spike and Connor, 'cause, duh, this is me we're talking about, lol, but the Connor one deals with Connor's reaction to finding out that Angel was his father.
as for any canon related stuff, i don't think Joss is planning anything like that right now...but it took more than three years for any BTVS canon comics, so maybe there's still hope! lol

There is a rumour (or theory, take your pick) that Joss will eventually cover the continuation of Angel via the canon Buffy comic series, at least to a degree.

Bottom line, if he intends to use Spike and Angel at all then there will need to be some reference to what happened after Not Fade Away ended.

Season 9 comic? Are they planning a season 9 comic as well?

Joss has said that if Season 8 sells well then he will be more than happy to go on to a Season 9.

It should be noted though, technically Season 8 is already set a year after Season 7 ended so in continuity it will already be happening after Not Fade Away, meaning that any Angel and Spike appearances, should they happen, will occur after the alley.

hang on, is it a year? wasn't there some mention of the gap being the same as it would have been if S8 had been on TV...three months at the most?
maybe i'm just getting really confused...or i've gone slightly giddy because of how close the release date s getting! lol

I reckon we had all assumed a similar gap to what we are used to between seasons (so that is where the three month thing had come from) but Joss has said recently that a year has passed for the gang since leaving Sunnydale. I think he made this choice to make it a little more believable that so much has happened since we last saw them.

there are Angel comics that take place after season five, but I don't think any of them are canon. Joss didn't write them like he's writing season 8 of Buffy, so they're most likely set outside of continuity.

they're availavle in comic shops, and i saw the one called "Old Friends" in Barnes and Noble once.
