More Dawn stuff

When realty was altered for Dawn, what was the border or limit for this new reality? City limits, county, state, world-wide and universe, or even parallel dimensions?
Since Buffy's dad was not very helpful, the state awarded guardianship of Dawn to Buffy, but did Mr. Summers know about Dawn while in Sunnydale and not when he left it?

I think the spell affected people who had been around Buffy and didn't have any limits. So Hank(Buffy's dad) would always know who Dawn was wherever he went. Same applies to everyone else!

I guess anyone who would have met Dawn. Like WannabeSlayer said. That would include Angel, Cordy and Wesley too.

And also like, everyone who has met Buffy or Joyce, or anyone else who couldn't possibly mention Dawn. Basically, the whole world changed so that Dawn had always existed, I don't think there are any exceptions.

I have a very basic theory that i'm working on for something regarding how this was done.
See the monks. If they had enough power to change the memory of potentially every living (and none living) sentient being on the planet, then surely they could have devised a better way of hiding the Key.
I mean 15(including pregnancy) years long Dawn has supposedly existed, and in that time Joyce and Buffy(along with the Scoobies) would have at the very least mentioned her often.
Add to that to complete that, they'd have to have sent Dawn to School in this verse so an entire school of people would need this done to them...basically it begins to feel a bit beyond the magics of the Monks.
UNLESS, The Monks, who we know were trying to use the Key for good, found away to use Dawn/Key to open up to a like 'Mirror Universe' and instead of creating Dawn they simply transfered from this universe an actual sister of Buffy and merged the universes, with the Key being merged with Dawn.
Obviously there are still kinks, like Buffy Blood, I can't remember if they say she has Summers Blood or Buffy's Blood. Also what happened to this 'alternate reality'....but its a work in progress.

Yeah. I've considered that one too, and what if there were other realities where Dawn wasn't Buffy's sister, she was her daughter, and what if all realities formed a kind of symbiotic whole. (Might explain the blood thing) Kind of boggles the brain, and makes eps like Normal Again fun to contemplate.

See, the reason i began thinking this was something Lyri suggested(i'm sure it was Lyri) regarding a pregnancy resulting from Angels lost day as a human.
I'm not saying that Dawn is the result of that, just that with infinite dimensions with infinite possiblities its at least plausible.
But as you say, this also opens some discussion on 'Normal Again'.
Was that really an hallucination or did that demon somehow unlock the essence of Buffy and have it bounce between two actual realities.
If thats the case, then it means that Buffy deciding to leave this reality for that one would not mean everything in this reality would cease as its not her 'made-up' version.

Maybe Dawn is an alternate Buffy with a few tweaked genes. The tweakiness would explain the touchability of Dawn's ass. hehe

No? See what I did was use genes substituting jeans and connected it with ass.

Hmm see, if you inhabit a different dimensions essentialy you and your counter-part are different beings born from different beings.....so does that mean Dawn is related to Connor(on this very weak assumption of mine).

Basically, all this is because i want to justify a really wierd liason between Vampire Willow and Lesbian Willow.
