Therefore, the Three COULD have broken a window and gotten in, kicked down the door, come back later, etc. Perhaps they didn't realize the invitation had counted towards them as well, or perhaps the Master summoned them right then...and then, when they returned to the Master with news of Buffy escaping, Darla staked them. Which I believe was a stupid thing to do, had these vampires actually had access to Buffy's home, which of course the Master did not know about.

That's a very good theory.
And it's most likely what had happened, or at least what i'm going to believe what happened 🙂
 
I think it's because of the passion. He knew if they end up together it's going to be hard. He felt something for her, since he first saw her. Now he was spending time around her, so that feeling was growing. They kissed, and he probably felt something so beautiful, but in the same time so wrong, so he showed his real face. He probably thought she is going to understand and love him the was he is, what she did 😀
 
I agree. I would also like to add that there are several incontinuity errors through out both shows. I have decided to just ignore them as it can be frustrating trying to figure out the why behind something inconsequential.

I had also wondered about that vamp face too cause later when Angel was kissing other women or Buffy he didn't change!

So i guess it's because Angel has just started getting along with people(well i mean Buffy!).He mostly was trying to avoid them cause he was afraid he might hurt them.Buffy was the light in his darkness.

Plus he has never felt love before.His feelings for Buffy have really grown by this episode IMO and kissing her made him happy,passionate,tender...but he, as you well said it, lost control!

Vampires are as we know passionate creatures...in Carpe Noctem,when the body switch happenned the old man in Angel's body when he was kissing Lilah on the table...he felt like biting her!So i think Angel has to struggle with his inner demon whose purpose and basic instict is to kill people.

You people make so many interesting comments!!!wow and about the leather jacket!Yeah deep inside i know that neither Buffy wanted to kill Angel,because she somehow saw that there was something special about him(before she learned about the soul) and nor Angel really wanted to kill Buffy.It was just his first time after so long around people and having Darla stressing him like that brought him on edge.

Buffy is the reason Angel finally became a stable person IMO.
