more Rewind Moments

Sorry, I really can't, not having watched many James Bond movie myself. I just turned on the closed captioning, and transcribed the quote...maybe some other member is a James Bond fan and can explain it to us.

Well... thanks anyway.

Anybody out there know what the quote is about? Did Timothy Dalton play Bond? What are the broccolis?

They did a great job covering it up, the SITs talking louder in the background, while Michelle was doing the voice-over, because I'm certain it was her. The first time I didn't notice, because I had a hard time trying to understand what she was saying, but on the rewatch it came clear to me, that it was indeed Michelle and not Sarah!

I'm not the world's biggest Bond fan, but...

Timothy Dalton played James Bond in one, maybe two movies after it was finally decided that Sean Connery and Roger Moore were just looking too old to pull it off.

I also seem to remember that there's a scene somewhere in Season 6 where the Troika were arguing about who the best James Bond was (Connery vs. Moore, and picking on the current Pierce Brosnan), and Andrew (I think) says, "I liked Timothy Dalton", and is made to feel like an idiot by the other two.

The Broccolis were the family that originaly produced the James Bond movies. Also, somewhere in the past or in a different branch of the family, I think they did invent or at least name the vegetable.

No problem, Helga.

As I said, I'm not entirely on solid ground wrt the James Bond phenomenon, so anyone please feel free to correct any mistakes I may have made in my attempt at explaining above.

Why would it be Michelle/Dawn's voice in the first place? I went back to my tape, kept rewinding it, closed my eyes (as was suggested), and I think anybody who knows Sarah's voice can tell it is all Sarah. She has this sort of lightness to her voice when compared to Michelle. It's like somebody pulled the assumption of it being Michelle's voice out of their *ss. There is no way I'm mistaken; it sounds exactly the same as Sarah was talking through the entire episode.

It's sounds like Michelle to me, but I only had 78Mb version, which pretty much ssushsmumble, I rewatched it too and it just didn't sound like Sarah!

It's not just on this board. I've seen postings on other boards where people are saying it's not Buffy's voice.

If it does turn out to be Sarah's voice, I am going to say the sound is off in that scene at the very least.

Actually I wonder about the sound in Buffy sometimes. In every episode there are lines you have to rewind 5 or 6 times to understand what they're saying. It's a shame too, because they're usually good lines that go missing.

I don't think it is bad sound in this case though. I still say it's Dawn's voice.

I'm not sure you guys believe me when I tell you I've seen this subject brought up on other boards. I'll post a link below. I apoligize in advance if it's considered bad manners to link to other forums, but in this case I think it's necessary.

2) Did the psychic kitchen scene Buffy sound even remotely like SMG

Also, I notice on that string some people say it's just bad sound quality caused from downloading a copy off the internet. I copy mine on VHS from the original.

Showtime is going to be on television again on Saturday where I am. I'll listen to it again as closely as I can. If it turns out I'm wrong, I promise everyone an apology.

Well if everybody is talking about this, then there must be something up with it!

Or maybe everyone is just hard of hearing. I checked out that post, and some people think it's Sarah too.

But everybody has had some second thoughts, so there is something up with it, maybe they mixed the voices of Michelle and Sarah and blended it into one ... though I have no idea why!

Showtime was rebroadcast last night on another channel. I watched it again.

All I can say is this...

If I knew Dawn and Buffy on a personal basis, and the phone rang, then I picked up the phone and the voice I heard last night after Buffy says "Willow can you hear me" said "Hi", I wouldn't even ask who it was.

I'd say, "Hi Dawn. How are you?"
