Big news:

Homeland‘s Morena Baccarin is going from her three-season run on the espionage drama to tangling with spies on the big screen. She’s been cast in Fox’s female comedy Spy, writer-director Paul Feig‘s next pic with Bridesmaids and The Heat star Melissa McCarthy. Baccarin, who last year was nominated for an Emmy for her work on Showtime’s Homeland, will play Karen Walker in the pic which has been slated for a Memorial Day 2015 release. Feig is also producing for his Feigco Entertainment banner alongside Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Jessie Henderson. Last week he added international stars Nargis Fakhri, Peter Serafinowicz, Bjorn Gustafsson, and Verka Serduchka to the cast, which also includes Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Miranda Hart. Filming began last month in Budapest.

I am already so excited for this movie, Melissa McCarthy is so funny, Feig makes great movies, they already announced Miranda Hart will be in the film, a hilarious english comedienne and Alison Janney was just case in it too!
I could do without Statham, who should just accept his faith and move into direct to DVD movies, and could do without 50cent.

But this is great for Morena!
 
Nice to see Monica continuing her success after Homeland.

Will very likely look out for this, since I enjoyed 'Bridesmaids'

I love both Peter Serafinowicz and Miranda Hart, two very funny British comedians. 🙂

Oh, and Jason Statham was in 'The Expendables 2', a relatively successful blockbuster, he's a long way from the likes of Seagal or Van Damme and the 'straight-to-video' market.

He's been in big movies, but any movies he's stared in are moderately successful, and they're basically the same film over and over, plus he's already done a few straight to DVD films, so he's in his way. The faster the better is all I meant.
 
Yeah, except that those straight-to-DVD have all been British movies that couldn't afford cinema releases, they still had good casts/acting and solid production values.
Films like 'Blitz' and 'Hummingbird' were actually pretty good, not just standard action movie stuff.
 
I haven't even bothered to watch them, I liked the first few Statham movies but after a couple got very bored of seeing the same movies over and over.
He's good at what he does, just a too generic for me
