Most attractive characters/actors?

I personally don't get the hype over Faith's looks. She's beautiful like most BtVS/AtS women, but I don't see why she's the most beautiful. I also don't find her particularly sexy, least of all on Buffy.

Idk man, she's just exceptionally beautiful in my opinion! Like everything about her is ridiculously good looking...her big lips especially the thick bottom one with the cleft in it, her pretty, big down-turned doe eyes, her cheekbones, her cheek and chin dimples, her voice, her physicality and the way she talks and moves...and c'mon how could her attitude and style not be sexy?! She comes together in a package that is just almost excessive. It's like she's traditionally beautiful and exotic at the same time.

I may be a little obsessed.

Faith and Spike both have the "bad boy/girl" factor going for them, which is apparently not for everyone. I guess I just think that confidence, rebelliousness and a devil-may-care attitude are sexy?

The thing is, I can't separate looks from personality. I can, kinda, 'objectively' tell if someone is attractive or not, but I usually only find an actor truly hot after seeing him play a character I love (like Jamie Dornan in The Fall). As such, the only character on Buffy/Angel that I drool over is Angel himself. I cannot watch a single AtS S1 episode without thinking about how hot it is. Coincidentally, that season is my favorite for Angel's character.

I think it's kinda the opposite for me (no shock there, LOL)... I think Sarah/Buffy is beautiful, but the more I grow connected to her as a character, the less I think "damn she's hot" all the time. I mean, she's still ridiculously beautiful, don't get me wrong (I think she's more beautiful than ever in 'Chosen', especially in that basement scene when she's talking with First!Caleb), but I guess my mind just doesn't jump to that thought so often anymore? Because I'm too busy thinking about all the other stuff I love about her character? And it's the same with all the other characters too.

I get that 🙂 She's very pretty. I think that she's more beautiful on Dollhouse and Banshee. Her hair and clothing looks better. Anyway. I just don't like her bad girl attitude. It's too exaggerated: her voice, her facial expressions, for example in "You played me!".

Hid bad boy factor escalates to eye rolling levels in S6. There's the sucking in his cheeks, the smiles, the thing he does with his tongue...I'm like "please stop trying!"

Yeah, Eliza's acting was sometimes over-the-top in season 3... But from 'Graduation Day' onward, she's pretty much perfect. I fell in love with the character in 'This Year's Girl'/'Who Are You'.

Well, that's part of his character - he's a sensitive poet who spent an entire century building a facade of a cool rebel.

Also, I don't wanna turn this into a character-contest thing (Oh, who am I kidding - it always turns into a character contest thing...), but what you said here kinda reminds me of Angel, except that instead of a Bad Boy facade, Angel has the Batman-y, "Dark Avenger" facade. The show totally acknowledges it too, just like with Spike, in episodes like 'Guise Will be Guise'. And my feelings about Angel's dark avenger facade are kinda similiar to your feelings about Spike's Bad Boy thing... I guess people are just programmed to like one trope or the other.

You conveniently ignored Ryan Gosling huh? 😛 Angelus was the serial killer and Paul Spector is a fascinating character - played brilliantly by Jamie Dornan. And don't tell me Jamie doesn't have the most perfect face ever? Well, apart from his nose which is crooked.

Well, it's definitely less prominent after 'Five By Five'... But it's not gone. She still says she's "five by five" anytime she doesn't wanna talk about her feelings, and she still has a tough-girl facade. Just less than before. And that's true for when she's on 'Buffy', too - in season 7 of 'Buffy' she's much less facade-y than she was in seasons 3 & 4.

Well, Batman is the most classic, well-known example of what I'm talking about, but it's a pretty common trope in general. It's the "I have a dark past and a dark nature that I keep bottled up, so I'm always serious and I'm all business and I have very few connections to humanity" trope. You know, like Hood from 'Banshee' (from what little I've seen of it), and like your John Waynes, and like a lot of protagonists from westerns and noir films, and like Max from 'Mad Max', and like some versions of James Bond, etc... You know the type.

They seem to be going with the theme that there's a bad Spector and a good Spector, quite similar to Angel/Angelus, I suppose. Then there's the whole memory lapse problem too.

I have! The writers are taking a really interesting approach with Paul. I love the fact that he doesn't remember things because seeing him react to everything is great. I loved his reunion with is daughter (I have a soft spot for hot dads).
I feel like this season is going to be controversial. They're kind of redeeming a serial killer? But regardless of the memory lapse, there are moments when you can see old Paul - like in that last shot of him in the most recent episode. And there are also moments when I'm sure he's faking it. Even before being a serial killer Paul filtered with the idea of murdering women (like Rose Stag) and had numerous perversions. If he's genuinely surprised and disgusted over his crimes, then what drove him to the point of killing?
What Paul seems to be describing with the whole bad/good Paul is dissociation, this sort of out of body experience that most people have, where you don't feel in control of yourself. But if it was bad Paul or whatever doing the crimes, then good Paul would have been appalled once the dissociation was over. Has good Paul been taking a nap for the past year or so??? I actually don't really know what the writers are doing with the character. But I'm really enjoying the show. After catching the serial killer, most cop shows kind of turn to crap, but this season might be better than the last one.

Yeah, she is more genuine later on...but still not entirely herself, I feel. For me, I liked her early façade... It breaks my heart that she thinks she had to be that way. The fact that she's not being herself makes me feel like I know herself haha. I've known people like her in real life.

Not an Angel fan, never been an Angel fan. EVER !! Never though David B was hot. Not bad looking, ok looking. Liked him in Bones best but still didn't find him attractive. Not a Cordy fan either. Faith is borderline. Brown hair and brown eyes just don't do it for me. Wich is ironic cause both my grandsons have big brown eyes (karma). So no on the Kennedy too.

Dawn really grew into her own, thought she was really pretty. Buffy and Willow are higher on my list, Anya kinda pretty, Tara not so much. Always thought Amy was pretty.

Guy wise SPIKE !!! Face it, the way he moves, his expressions, (smile, raises his eyebrows, head tilt, that damn accent man that accent and when he sighs I melt). I just find him dead sexy, period. But I was a huge Billy Idol fan, still am. Come on, Rebel Yell is the ultimate sex song (I'm older). Wesley comes to mind and Giles (again I'm older so the Giles thing isn't gross). Xander had his moments but not to many and I liked Andrew. He was so goofy. I'm attracted to guys that make me laugh. 😀
