Most Beloved Characters

Giles, definitely.

While they get the most love, there are a lot of people who absolutely despise the more popular characters (Spike, Willow, Faith, and possibly Xander and Angel). But Giles? Everyone likes him. Sure, he's not usually at the very top of people's "favorite character" lists, but I have yet to meet anyone who actually detests him.

I'd say Clem actually. Or Snyder? Lots of people I know for some reason always seem to pick up on things he says. I'm indifferent to him really.

I'd guess that characters such as Tara and Joyce are viewed as the most likeable because they're so neutral and dull. I really love Tara, I think she's wonderful and brings such a wonderful relationship with Willow but that seems to be all she does. In my opinion they don't give her hardly any time to stand alone when they break up like the writers claim [heck she's missing from about 3 episodes in a row during their 'break']. So I think for many people she is just so plain that they dont really forge an opinion on her one way or another.


I wonder who the most hated character would be though? :O

I can see Lorne and Doyle happening, more so now after the unfortunate deaths of the two actors, but of course not just because of that.
i never liked harmony that much

I disliked Riley.

I neither liked or disliked Tara. She was indifferent to me as Oz was.

You're never gonna find a character that everyone loves. You might find one that isn't much hated and/or some don't care much about. I haven't come across (to my memory) anyone that hates Clem but a few that don't care for him at all and wouldn't have missed him if he wasn't in the show. Don't think there's that many that hate Oz or Giles either but not everyone loves them. Xander, Perny? Think you need to go talk with your wife about all the Xander-bashing going on a while back.
