Most Favorite Season for Angel/Angelus

Which season features your favorite Angel/Angelus?

The only thing that bothered me when he was in Buffy is how underpowered he was, seriously.

Exactly. I really think this is the strongest season for David's acting as well as Angel's story arc.

I like Angelus is Season 4 of 'Angel'

When he's in the cage, toying with all of them with his mindgames- that's brilliantly written. He gets under all their skins Wesley, Gunn, Conner, Lilah. He's really very menacing.

When he gets out...not so much, but still his interactions with Faith are really very good- and in 'Orpheus' we get to see Angel and Angelus fight for the first and only time. 🙂

But for Angel on his own...Season 2 of Angel where he's 'Dark Angel' (not Jessica Alba obviously...)

For me it's Ats Season 2. I found that to be the most compelling storyline.

As far as I'm concerned, Angel and Angelus are the same individual, numerically speaking, so I'll stick with my original answer.

Without a doubt, Season 2 of "Buffy," because we saw, for the first time, just how evil and diabolical Angelus could be. It was all new and shocking.

Plus that absolutely great scene where Buffy shoves a sword into Angel's chest (she only did it, of course, because he signaled her with his eyes, even though they were closed at the time. Very few people realize that Angel has "Stab me, Buffy" tattooed onto his eyelids) and sends him off to hell.

I'm not a huge fan of Angel on BtVS, but I really love him on AtS. My favourite is AtS s2, such a great season where we saw a darker Angel.

ATS 2 all the way,the best season of the verse along with ATS 3 and Buffy 5. Angel the character and David the actor were just mesmerizing in this incredible, amazing season,i love it,its so well written and it made Angel go from my least favorite character to my second favorite,amazing 🙂

For Angelus, I think s2 BtVS because it's our first time seeing him and how evil he is. David does a great job playing Angel and Angelus as two separate characters. As for Angel, I went with s2 of AtS. I like his decent into darkness and his return to the gang. It shows the fine line he walks from Angel to Angelus. He may have a soul but Angelus is always there in the back of his mind and sometimes he gives in.

Love that season too "Who was that?" In-between dark and light is when Angel shines for me. Love the inner conflict.

But I love Angelus and family most of all. If only Darla hadn't been staked!

I voted AtS S2...I really loved dark Angel and that is the season I find myself re-watching the most. BTVS S2 is a close second for me.
