Most Hated Minor Character

Ok well since they were not in the credits and annoyed me to death, Johnathan and warren. I loved harmony, so funny. Kennedy also not a favorite.

I liked her at first..but Iunno..I am just a sucker for the original cast..or semi..original cast..and the kiss with angel was just weird.

Seemed like everyone kissed Angel under weird circumstances. But I really liked Gwen. She really was just eye candy for the show though, but i liked her power.

Veruca, she needed a good pummeling, was dead way too fast... I didn't like that whole Oz getting in touch with his animal side too much... it just seemed so OOC to me, I feel he deserved a better 'getting written out of the series' then that, but then again I can't think of anything else that would have made more sense myself and the whole episode just tears me up inside each time I watch it... So I don't hate the ep, I just dislike what they did to an otherwise such a likeable character...oh and hated Veruca, plain and simple ^.^' Which is still on topic! Yay! But I feel she wasn't made to be liked anyway. And I must say, I liked the band, Sky wasn't it? Kind of reminds me of the Sneaker pimps a little.

As for Forrest, can't say I liked him that much, but I feel he was necessary in a way, since the initiative lost Riley along the way and Graham was just too sweet to be brought up as the 'upgraded soldier' Maggie Walsh was envisioning. I really liked Graham... the guy had just a huge awww-factor on me.

Now Kennedy... don't get me started on her... I never really warmed up to the whole potentials idea in the first place, but of all the girls she was the most annoying, period. She was fine as long as she stayed part of the potentials,I could totally see her as the leader amongst the group, but I feel they wanted to make her part of the Buffy in-crowd too much, her whole relationship with Willow just seemed forced. And I'm not saying this because I was such a huge Tara fan, it just feels too much like a rebound thing, mostly because it didn't add anything valuable to the storyline. Which is fine, but not at that time in the series you know...

And Harmony, love her! I think everything that needed to be said pro Harmony has already been said so... love, not hate!

Kennedy and Kate. I have also disliked a major cast member from the start, i'm fussy.

Andrew used to annoy me but he grew on me a lot. Meryl and Willy the Snitch also.

Top points for most hated for me....Gavin....you are not Lindsey so back the heck off buddy 😉

Really small character: Kathy. Can not stand her, I would have wanted to kill her too.. Other than that, hm, Veruca.. um.. Warren.. Jonathan.. (Yeah I can't stand those..) Some of the potentials... etc

Kate from Angel... Veruca... grrr... Riley.. .couldnt stand him... um... is Connor a minor character? grr do not like one bit.. thats about it...

Okay can I just stand up for Riley for one moment here people. Number one Riley was not a minor character he was in the credits people!!!!!! Number 2 there is nothing wrong with Riley. okay so most of the people who are saying they hated him are probably Bangel shippers but I too am a Bangel shipper and I am saying Riley was cool. yes he did take over for Angel but don't you think Buffy had a right to move on? I mean after all it was Angel who left her. You can't blame Riley for something that Angel did and you can't blame him for falling in love. It happens! So stop with the resentment Riley is not a bad character!

Ok moving on I would have to say i hated Kennedy more then I have ever hated any character on any show ever. She was such a spoiled little brat and stuck up snot face. (Yes I said snot face). I wanted to punch her in the face and tell her to grow up!

I agree about Riley.
I too dislike Kennedy.. i mean she isnt the worst minor character.. but still she was stuck up and spoilt.. and i am defending what i said.. Riley is a bad character.. if he really loved Buffy so much he wouldnt have gone and let vampires suck his blood for the heck of it and to make him feel... that and he was so annoying and was too attached...

Ok first you say he loves buffy and then you say he was too attatched? You can't have both! He loved Buffy but he thought she couldn't love him how was he supposed to know that she would change her mind? He was trying to do what was best for her. If you accuse Riley about not loving Buffy because he left what about Angel? You can't pick and choose!

no i mean of course riley loved buffy, but i think he was too clingy... he can love and be attached at the same time! ... and we arent talking about angel.. im talking about riley.. he just annoyed me.. though he was a nice person. i just dont think he was the guy for buffy....

I would do anything to get a BF like Riley! The whole 'letting Vampires suck his blood'-thing I write off to the end being nigh... people always tend to go a little crazy before they are leaving the series. When you think about it it's really sweet from the writers 😛 (I am naive, I know 😀)

I hated Kate Lockley. She was like a smack in the face to all the bangel fans. It was like, lets try and get another blonde kickass female to be Angel's potential love interest. There was one opening scene when Kate is chasing a criminal and she beats him up. I remember thinking she was a cheap knock-off version of Buffy. At least Riley was nothing like Angel 🙂 But then I disliked her character (not because she had been a potential love interest to Angel) but because of the way she reacted to the supernatural world. Everyone else had dealt with the knowledge that demons existed, but Kate didn't take it very well. She was constantly trying to blame Angel for everything. And even though ahe probably had the most normal, human reaction (I know I'd have been screaming in denial...lol...) I got annoyed with her.

I never said he was the right guy for Buffy I just said they obviously both loved each other at some point and he was a great guy. I just don't understand where the resentment toward him is coming from!

He was a great guy. But towards the end he turned into a selfish ass.

Gotta say there Jess, its a little arrogant to assume that most people hated him because of Bangel love.
I know many a fan that don't like/didn't like Bangel yet didn't like Riley.
Personally, I get bored with all the 'Shipper' talk.
If the only reason you are tuning into a show is to see a 'will they/won't they' senario, watch the re-runs of Friends. I watch these shows because of the sometimes powerful statements they make regarding all walks of life and the relationships of the time suit the story that is being told.
If i have a preference of a 'ship' then thats because of the story, not because i'm rooting for two made up characters to 'get it on'.

With Riley, my biggest 'hate' about him is the loss of potential.
Season 4 had the one idea that if executed right could have changed many of the poorer sides of the remaining years of the show, and Riley was a big part of that. The Initiative.
I think Riley was a let down because in part the Initiative was.
Plus, I've said it before and i'll say it again....Mark Blucas is a terrible actor.

Now to comment on the 'Kate Hate'.

I'm going 'Arnold' now.....what you talkin' 'bout Willi...ummm Jules.
Seemed to me that the writers never intended Kate to be any kind of Love interest for Angel. She wasn't any kind of replacement for anyone, on the contrary I find she was a refreshing character added to show that Angel was now in the adult world.
The similarities between Buffy and Kate are...Blonde.
Kate wasn't a Demon Hunter, she could fight but that wasn't really how we perceived her. She was a Cop, in an Adult, seedy world not privvy to all the information but when faced with it she acted Human.
Also, we need to take into her account that although she was initailly surprised by the Demon world, it wasn't until her father died at the hands of Vampires that she really began the 'hate on Angel'.
She was grieving at that loss and her usual way to deal with that situation would have been to bring the 'perp' to Justice, however thanks to their nature she couldn't do that. Angel was a convenient target for all her venom because he was a Vampire.
Had she really taken time to think about it, then maybe she'd have had a different way to deal but in the end, she does come to a sort of realisation that seems to put her back on track.

No, there are many characters that deserve to be hated, but I defend Kate Lockley because out of every character, she seemed the most Human, the most real and it was a nice touch.

I think you'll find she had plenty of purpose.

In the beginning she was Cordys best friend (as close to a best frined as she had) Then she was who Cordy was trying to impress. And the reason for her keeping her relationship with Xander secret.

And in season 5 of Angel, she wasnt even a minor character. She was a main character, therefore pretty much important or she'd have stayed a minor character.
