Most Kick-Ass Moment

What moment in either Buffy or Angel that made you jump out of your seat and cheer? It doesn't have to be a fight scene or anything, just something that's cool or awe inspiring. Just any moment that just made you go, damn, this is why I am a Buffy fan. Mine are:

When Buffy became the greatest hero in "Becoming": "No weapons, no friends, no hope. Take all that away and what's left?" "Me."


Uber Buffy has gotta be one of the best, from "Primeval". "You can never hope to grasp the source of our power!"....BAM BAM BAM...."but yours is right here." Bad. To. The. Bone. The Fab Four for life.

Buffy's sick in the hospital and really not up to Angelus' torment, and Xander defends her in "Killed By Death". He stands in front of him and gives it too him straight that he is no way in hell getting anywhere near her. Angelus, the magnificent bastard he is, points out that Xander still loves her and though she doesn't return those feelings, he still is her "white knight". I don't know why, but something about that scene always reminds me of how Xander is a very heroic and brave person, he just doesn't end up getting to show it as often.

Willow stepping in from nowhere and saying "she's with me" before reversing Glory's mind-wipe of Tara in "The Gift". Awe.Some.


And.....Buffy wants you to get out of her face. Literally. "Chosen". Gotta love it.

Giles' return in Two to Go is so bad-ass! I love it!
And also the fighting scene between Willow and Buffy. The Season 6 finale is just awesome!

I think I am part of a little group because I think Xander and Dawn are the two most (liked)/disliked characters. But I love them both and this scene is always in my mind when I have to think about them and what "real friendship" means!

Giles' "I'd like to test that theory" is probably the one moment of the show where I actually lept out of my seat and cheered. Sooooooo badass!!!

I love Buffy killing the àœber vamp in front of the potentials, under the spotlights in 'Showtime' as well as the last speech in 'Bring On The Night' 'they want an apocalypse, well we'll give em one'

I love Buffy in 'Prophecy Girl' - 'oh look, a bad guy' as she struts her stuff to the theme tune and knocks the vamp out so easily!

Joyce after she knocks out Spike in 'School Hard', 'Get the hell away from my daughter!'

Buffy in 'Checkpoint', 'I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions!' - every time im like, Woooooop!!!!!

I always, always loved Buffy's "walk" in Prophecy Girl, when she's wearing the dress and the theme music plays.

I literally got shivers.

Prophecy Girl - Buffy "flunked the written" and Xander bringing Angel along at crosspoint.

Halloween - "Hi, Honey, I am home!" followed by punch in the face. Too bad about letting Spike get away, though.

Willow stepping in from nowhere and saying "she's with me" before reversing Glory's mind-wipe of Tara in "The Gift". Awe.Some.

I second that. And the Primeval example too.

Giles pulling out a crossbow bolt literally from his butt and dusting a vampire, all in one swift motion (Ted).

Gwendolyn Post telling Faith: "A word of advice: you're an idiot." (Revelations)

Buffy demanding the First Slayer give back her friends in Restless.

Giles resisting Angel's torture in Becoming.

Willow yelling at Angel and Giles in Reptile Boy. Also, seeing right though Parker's sensitive boy façade in Beer Bad.

Tara refusing to give up Dawn in Tough Love.

Angel striding into the room where Balthazar was, "His name is Angel".

"I hate it when they drown me" in Bad Girls.

Buffy in The I in Team.

Professor Walsh. That simple little recon you sent me on . . . wasn't a raccoon. Turns out it was me trapped in the sewers with a faulty weapon and two of your pet demons. If you think that's enough to kill me, you really don't know what a Slayer is.

Trust me when I say you're gonna find out.

Buffy killing 8 vamps in about 5 seconds, after she catches Riley getting bit by the vampires.

Hell yeah. Season four had some frickin awesome moments.

Loved it, especially the first time I saw it. You just knew she would say something and the anticipation was great.

Graduation Day part 2: When Buffy and the scoobies got all of their classmates in on the fight and armed them. I love the scene when all the students drop their graduation gowns and pull out their weapons."NOW" 😀

Cordy telling Harmony off for being a sheep.

Buffy kicking Angel and her "Give me time" in Innocence.

Buffy and Angel tricking Faith in Enemies.

Dark Angel setting Darla and Dru on fire. (Not really kick-ass, but it gave me the chills.)

-when willow goes after glory for hurting tara - even though she was totally outmatched, the way she comes into the room is definitely kickass

- xander's "I like the quiet" in the zeppo

- illyria's rescue of gunn from that w & h house basement

- faith's prison yard fight

- riley pulling his chip out


and so many more. 🙂

For me it will ALWAYS be Becoming Part 2. She literally was stripped of everything, her weapons, her friends, her love... And she looked so BA with that sword. Yes and yes.

When She Was Bad, end of the episode when Giles and Willow are kidnapped by the Anointed One:

Xander: "We need a distraction."
Buffy: "I'm on it."
Angel: "What are you gonna do?"
Buffy: "I'm gonna kill them all. That ought to distract them."

And then she does. So grand. I think that's the first time I really saw her as having the potential to be a real warrior.

Buffy vs. Faith in Graduation Part 1 is another fave. So emotionally fueled and skill wise I'd say it was probably her most difficult opponent.

Giles lighting Angel, Spike and Drusilla's warehouse (home?) on fire in Passion, crossbow in hand... even though it didn't go as he planned he was totally ready to kick some booty.

Definitely the "Me." moment in Becoming Part 2. Sometimes when I re-watch Seeing Red, I get goosebumps when Willow's eyes turn black and then the show ends but....I think that might be less of a kick-ass moment and more of a "oh sh*t" moment.

I have so many of the latter but...I'll save those for another time haha

-When Buffy is about to fight all of those demons with the hunga munga in Anne.

-When she hits Glory with the troll hammer (for the first time...boy did that get old)

-When Buffy gives her semi infamous speech in Bring On the Night (a lot of people apparently thought it was out of character)

-When she puts holy water in Kralik's water

-"Who are you?" "I'm Buffy. The vampire slayer. And you are?" (Anne)

-"Professor Walsh. That simple little recon you sent me on..." (The I in Team)

-"Sunrise... it's in about nine hours, moron." (The Harvest)

-"Get the hell away from my daughter" (School Hard)

-Buffy/Faith showdown from Grad Day part 1. The fight is so cheesy...but so good.

-When Angel kills Jenny...eek..okay maybe that's an "oh sh*t" moment. (I liked Jenny, I just love that scene. It's so horrible but yet so grand. I was just so convinced that Buffy would somehow save the day)

-When Buffy kills Sunday.

-When Buffy crawls out of that hole...thing in Bad Eggs. Not such a fantastic episode, but definitely a kick-ass moment.

-Riley and Buffy pull their weapons on each other in "Hush"

-Cordy's death in The Wish...ugh...okay, that's another "oh sh*t", those are basically kick-ass moments for me though. I love when something I'm totally not expecting happens.

-The "Big Bad monologue", season 7.

-Restless. All of Restless.

-"Psych!" (Enemies)

-The Mayor's transformation/the battle...I just got the chills thinking about it.

-"What's that do?" aka rocket launcher Buffy

-"I like the quiet." Followed by that smirk. (The Zeppo)

-"I'd like to test that theory." (Two to Go)

-When Buffy gives Q.T. (aka Stuffy McStufferton) the lowdown in Checkpoint.

-When Giles smashes Anya's amulet in The Wish.

-Spike rocking out to "My Way" at the end of Lover's Walk. I love watching that when I'm in an absolutely crap mood ...or a fantastic one. If I feel like crap, it cheers me up, and if I feel fantastic...I jump on my bed and sing it at the top of my lungs (my mom does not consider this to be a kick-ass moment).

-Giles with a chainsaw.

And I'll leave you with an anti kick-ass moment: Oz dramatically setting himself up to throw the stake at the retreating vampire in "Anne": "That really never works."
