LIE TO ME is the most underrated episode in probably the history of Buffy. People remember epic arch inspired eps like The Gift. Or unorthodox eps like Storyteller or Restless or Hush. Fans even remember really bad episodes like Beer Bad. But very few remember or talk about an episode like "Lie To Me" Sure Buffy may have facest big bads like the Mayor and Glory. But one of her toughest and most emotional rivals (besides Angel) would have to be that of Ford in this episode. I also like that they spun off of the heavens gate incident that happened a year before the episode was aired. A group of people who worships vampires as Gods is very interesting. And you gotta love Giles speech at the end of it. Does anyone else agree with me on this?

I just watched "Lie to Me" yesterday, and it was good. I really thought that Jason Behr did a bad job even though I LOVE him. It was a tough ep for Buffy. She actually told Angel that she loved him, and he told her about yet another woman he was with.
I do think that The Prom was EXTREMELY underrated. Talk about tough choices! I love that ep bcuz it really shows how tough and mature Buffy can be when times are tough. Even though she has made bad mistakes, she just deals in this ep. She still takes out the Hellhounds, she fights demons even though she is torn apart inside. She already had my respect as a character, but this ep just proves even more just how awesome Buffy is.

I believe The I in Team/Goodbye Iowa are the most underrated episode, they are usually considered bad episodes but I think they are both pretty darn good...

Same holds for Bring On The Night and Nightmares

I think Gingerbread is underrated, I thought it was really funny and its one of my faves, but I see it on alot of worst lists including the worst list in Cinescape magazine. Why? lol

Also I think Ted, the Initiative and Him are underrated, the last 2 are pretty funny and I love Ted cuz of the "guy your mom dates that you cant' stand" thing, plus John Ritter was great and it dealt with serious issues like Buffy's use of power to kill another person (even though it ended up he's a robot)

I Only Have Eyes For You
The Dark Age
Inca Mummy Girl... are all under rated, by my standards.

I agree that Lie to Me is one of the most underrated episodes. Another one is Dead Man's Party. It was another very emotionally draining episode, as well as its funny parts:

Buffy: I'd like to find Willow and Xander.
Joyce: Will you be slaying?
Buffy: Only if they give me lip.

Xander: Check it out. The Watcher is back on the clock. And just when you were thinking career change, maybe becoming a... a looker or a... a seer.

Oz: Hey, so you're not wanted for murder anymore.
Buffy: Good. That was such a drag.
Xander: So where were you? Did you go to Belgium?
Buffy: Why would I go to Belgium?
Xander: I think the relevant question is why wouldn't you? Bel-gium!

Xander: Whatever, we were kicking a little undead booty.

Buffy: What about home schooling? You know, it's not just for scary religious people anymore.

Oz: Well, I like it. I think you should call it Patches.

Oz: We should figure out what kinda deal this is. I mean, is it a-a gathering, a shindig or a hootenanny?
Cordelia: What's the difference?
Oz: Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage; and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.
Xander: Well, I hate brie.
Cordelia: I know. It smells like Giles' cat.
Giles: It's not my...

Xander: Okay, so one vote from the Old Guy for a Smelly Cheese Night, and how many votes for actual fun, huh?

Giles: Unbelievable. 'Do you like my mask? Isn't it pretty? It raises the dead!' Americans.

Xander: Look. I'm sorry that your honey was a demon, but most girls don't hop a Greyhound over boy troubles.

Giles: Cordelia, it's me! It's me!
Cordelia: How do we know it's really you and not zombie Giles?
Giles: Cordelia, do stop being tiresome.
Cordelia: It's him.

Xander: Generally speaking, when scary things get scared: not good.

I felt Anne & Dead Mans Party are too! I think Get It Done is too!

Bring On The Night and Get It Done arent underrated... are they? people have very different tastes and some one may thing more of say, Anna, than another person. so its hard to say what epi is under rated really.

Agree:

Anne
Bring on the Night
The Witch
I Only Have Eyes For you
Nightmares

Disagree:

Him ( Actually it seems to be quite popular. All I can say is you Him-lovers live in a different reality than I do. )

Gingerbread

Get It Done ( Again, this ep seems to be quite well thought of. How is it underrated. I like it too, by the way.)

Dead Man's Party ( I alway's got the impression it was generally rated about the middle of the pack. Isn't that about where it deserves to be? )

When She Was Bad ( So Many People love this episode, me among them, but how is it underrated? I get the impression a lot of people would have it in their top 20 )

The Prom ( Same thing as When She Was Bad)

Lie To Me

Inca Mummy Girl

Ted

I'd like to add End of Days to the underrated list. I have a theory EOD is tainted by all the mistakes in logic of the previous 2 episodes. By itself I'd rate it one of the best of S-7

I Only Have Eyes For You, Lie to Me, Nightmares where all underrated. I didn't like Ted...

i think killed by death was under rated and i only have eyes for you because i love those too and help kinda 2 from what i saw from peoples opinions
