Most Underrated Episode?

I second "I robot, you Jane".
Love that episode.

Have no opinion on Angel episodes. Don't know them well enough.

BtVS : Reptile Boy, Never Kill A Boy On the First Date come to mind.

AtS : too early in my rewatch to tell yet.

Beer Bad ALWAYS cracks me up. I can (and do!) watch it over and over...Sarah was just hilarious.
 
Ted sucked but it's always damn funny to me (e.g. the outrageously cruel things that Ted would tell Buffy).

I would probably say Bad Eggs for me.

On Angel, probably the episode She. I thought it was an interesting contribution to the lore of the Buffyverse, as well as a great drama piece.

Actual Worst Episodes: Inca Mummy Girl, Bad Eggs, Nightmares, Seeing Red, Doublemeat Palace (I still enjoy it even though it's bad)


Underrated Angel: Unleashed, Time Bomb, The Girl in Question, First Impressions, Dear Boy, Somnambulist, Billy, The Thin Dead Line, The House Always Wins, All of Season 4... just like BtVS

Actual Worst Episodes: Provider, Happy Anniversary, The Shroud of Rahmon, Why We Fight
 
BtVS - I would agree with Lie to Me, mentioned above, it’s a grander episode than it’s given credit for in terms of the theme, lessons, character development and the vamp stuff is pretty funny.

AtS - Guise will be Guise - First this is the funniest episode of this Season... maybe of s1-s3? I think this episode gives so much exposition and foreshadows some of what is to come with Angel in S2. Gives us so much insight on Darla and the parallels to Buffy. It touches upon some of the Wesley v. Angel being the boss dynamics which will come up again at end of s2. Tim Minear...

I never liked Gone, I thought Buffy was so out of character, but after discussing it on The Back Steps I've changed my mind and now think it's a much better episode and has more depth than I ever thought 😳 Gone is a good episode 🙂

What was the discussion? I would have loved to hear. Stuff like that should be on the main board so everyone can read and participate. What was it that made you change your mind?
